  1. Man, that ball that JD hit, that Hanley got thrown out on, hit the very top of the wall. Game of inches and all that.
  2. Please don't start with the zombie s*** again. Stick with the prospect reports, you're good with those.
  3. This is really interesting. Deserves a thread of its own.
  4. Now there's a nice timely post. Your Yankees pen has had its issues too.
  5. Holy crap, enough with the senior moments boys.
  6. Everybody gets their rest days with Skipper Cora.
  7. You Mister Magoo'd that one, mvp was talking about C. Smith.
  8. That's a sound theory I'd say.
  9. He's definitely looked better. You can tell Cora is still cautious about using him too much though. That could change.
  10. I really don't think Cora or the team want Barnes to be the 8th inning guy on a consistent basis. If we're lucky, by the end of the year we'll have Thornburg, Smith and Kelly pitching well and they'll be getting those 8th inning gigs ahead of Barnes.
  11. It's certainly a valid concern, but the metrics seem to be saying he's no worse than Moose, maybe a little better.
  12. FanGraphs seems to be the most highly regarded source.
  13. Not many in the last 20 years or so, I'd guess. Rivera had piles of them when you include the postseason. Andrew Miller has had a lot of 5 out holds, I think, since joining Cleveland.
  14. Carpal Tunnel Awareness jerseys are coming tomorrow.
  15. Moose signing for what he did was an absolute freak. No one saw that coming, nothing close to that. And he re-signed with the team he has played for his whole career. There's no way of knowing how much more another team might have had to pay to move him out of KC.
  16. .787 with RISP .663 with bases empty Not sure what you're looking at.
  17. Actually .787 with RISP, .663 with bases empty. Your old timer eyes let you down.
  18. I don't really consider giving up a sac fly with no outs as a failure. He got tagged with a blown save for it, which points out how silly the stat is.
  19. No offense, moon, but some of your posts have brought me down too. Such as the many complaining about the Moreland signing.
  20. And do it on live TV, a la The Decision.
  21. When your team is 26-11 and in a death battle for the division it's not really the time to do a bunch of experimenting. Swihart hasn't had many chances, but when he does get one he fails to capitalize. He will get some more chances.
  22. Major league leaders in SLG: Betts .803 Trout .681 Machado .629 OPS: Betts 1.244 Trout 1.134 Machado 1.068
  23. LOL good one Station, making 2 guys into 3.
