Pedro was a bit of a headhunter at times, I guess. It's nothing I would approve of.
Seems like there aren't really any pitchers who are notorious for that any more.
I probably won't be able to watch and will be following on Gameday. My old man nerves can't take the kind of anxiety this series should produce LOL
One thing for sure, I'm going to have to make at least one change to my sig lines.
I think you have to strike a balance. You have to make some effort to win the game to be fair to other teams, but you also have to look out for your own team's best interests.
Trout has been in high leverage situations.
Unfortunately (I love the guy), he has been in hardly any high leverage games. That's really what I'm getting at.
But everybody has their own take on the clutch thing.
Disagree.
Mike Trout has never had a big clutch hit-not one that anyone knows about, at least. Because he has generally been on crap teams.
You can probably think of a number of other great players that have never had a big clutch hit that you know of.
Obviously opportunities has a lot to do with that...
I think Cora is a great manager, personally, and that includes his in-game moves. Needless to say baseball managers are born to be ragged on by the armchair gang no matter what they do. Just ask Francona.
I'm with MVP. Nobody wants to see inferior officiating in major league sports. As soon as people see it in action, all the other issues go out the window.
