  1. You got me there.
  2. The Judge injury was a big blow. It would be like us losing Mookie.
  3. You've said it yourself - he's a terrible catcher, probably shouldn't even be a catcher. That makes him a DH who's having a bad season with the stick. He's had one good season.
  4. Thread closer.
  5. 2 wrongs don't make a Steven Wright.
  6. 'Petition the Commissioner' strikes me as funny for some reason. Does this mean you have to craft a nice little begging letter like it's a tax appeal or something?
  7. No one is harder on managers than grumpy old game threaders.
  8. Severino just might be a victim of the so-called Verducci Effect because of his innings jump in 2017. Verducci only had 3 pitchers on his list for 2018. Severino was #3 on the list.
  9. Sanchez dealt for an ace? His trade stock would be pretty low at the moment. Right now he's a DH with a 700 OPS + injury concerns + attitude concerns. Not a very attractive package. I think you'd be better trying to rehabilitate the guy somehow.
  10. This will go done as one of the most unusually managed games in history.
  11. As you can see it keeps increasing.
  12. This is unbelievable LOL
  13. Who here has seen the Brady Feigls?
  14. You reverse jinxed 'em.
  15. Cora's got stones, with a post-clinching party time lineup like that.
  16. JDM career BABIP .348 JBJ career BABIP .296 Hey, I think we're onto something here...
  17. Good point, methinks.
  18. And then pitched 3 scoreless extra innings in Game 5!
  19. This Brady Feigl Doppelganger thing might be a sign of the apocalypse. If you haven't heard about it just Google that name.
  20. Rick's career line is 205/205/256 - 462 OPS - in 42 plate appearances LOL
  21. moon, as you have said before, it's pretty easy to tell how the team evaluates each catcher's defensive skills by the playing time they get.
  22. July 30, not August 30. I mistyped there.
  23. What do you have to say about the fact that Swihart is trending down again? His OPS peaked at 617 on July 30. It's back down to 576.
  24. You mean-potentially-5 games in 7 days, after 5 days off. That's a little different, especially if the pen gets used a lot in the first game.
  25. Maybe the plan is to keep him in the pen.
