  1. Yeah, it's kind of an all-time feat of deadline magic so far.
  2. Craig has a problem with the number 4. Whether it's 4-out saves or 4-run leads. Something about that number messes up his head.
  3. I figure if it could be done that easily, someone would have done it already. It's pretty blatant what the intent is, you have to admit.
  4. I can't see MLB allowing it. It's blatant AAV manipulation on a pretty big scale.
  5. Well, there's Stanton's contract - 13 years, 325 million, 25 million AAV, opt-out after year 5 (I think).
  6. Yeah, a lot of Yankee fans were going WTF about those comments by Boone.
  7. You're just being a troublemaker.
  8. 8 years, 280 million, AAV of 35 million would seem to be in the ballpark.
  9. The Yankees seem to like guys with the names Chance, Chase and Chasen.
  10. It's true that 10 year deals have generally proven to be disasters. I wonder if we will see any more of them. Supposedly math geeks have taken over MLB FO's, so we shall see.
  11. I want to see Aaron Boone in the fetal position with his thumb in his mouth by the end of this series.
  12. Man are you serious? He has made some incredible catches this year. There's a little more to it than 'slightly better jumps'.
  13. How did they mess up his hammy in a few days, is the question.
  14. It's just the concern that Mookie stands a much bigger chance of getting injured at second, especially since he hasn't played there for a while.
  15. I think he might be right. If you go back to 2003 when Theo took over, this has pretty much been the case. What valuable 'worker bees' has the farm system produced since then, that we have kept?
  16. And maybe Cash should be called King Nero - basically fiddling while Rome burns at the deadline this year?
  17. You're going down in flames on this one, Dojji. And it's not about whether Mookie can play second adequately or not. The guy can do just about everything on a baseball field well.
  18. Can we blame them for Kinsler's hammy too, even though he just got here?
  19. You're right, they are almost the same player over their careers.
  20. He usually seems to hit against us though.
  21. Somewhat fortunately for us the Yankees have injury issues of their own with Judge, Sanchez and Happ missing the series.
  22. Butler has been called up.
  23. I'm betting against it. Look at the small increases in the tax thresholds in the last 2 CBA's, and look at what happened this past offseason. I think the baseball gravy train is finally hitting the brakes a bit.
