  1. The only way to settle this is with numbers. Darren Lewis accumulated 10.5 bWAR and 8.1 fWAR in 1354 games, 4654 PA's Bradley has 12.3 bWAR and 11.6 fWAR in 688 games, 2559 PA's (a little over half as many as Lewis) It's fair to say that Bradley is roughly twice as valuable as Lewis was.
  2. I have the 2 game win streak this year, thank you very much. But of course I hope Station annihilates that mark.
  3. The pool money went from us to them.
  4. Sox were 55-23 (.705) in Leon starts last year.
  5. .786 OPS with 4 HR and 10 RBI for Vaz. Not so bad.
  6. Bingo.
  7. Cora's rest program may have been a failure. But being 'young men' has nothing to do with it. It's about the unnatural stress that pitching puts on the human arm. Countless pitchers have had their careers ended by injury or loss of effectiveness before they were 30, while they were still very young men.
  8. More RBI opps batting 4th.
  9. The whole thing looks pretty stupid. The allegedly 'racist' lyrics were meant to be satirical and were originally sung by Paul Robeson.
  10. Kategate.
  11. Welcome back Beni. And welcome here Lin.
  12. We probably contracted injury-itis at Yankee Stadium.
  13. Nicely played, you got in both ham and egger and jabroni on this guy.
  14. It could have to do with the extra postseason load as well, with Sale, Price, Porcello and Eovaldi all pitching in relief as well as starting. That was out of the ordinary too. Cora tried to do something about it and maybe what he did was counterproductive. But it really doesn't make sense to me that the sole explanation is that these veteran pitchers were all unprepared for the season.
  15. So results prove cause? No, I don't think so.
  16. Yuck. It's April 19.
  17. What evidence is there that Rick Porcello did not properly get loose and get ready? The guy is a seasoned veteran. I think he knows how to get ready for a season by now.
  18. So if the spring games have no meaning, what's the preparedness thing about? It's all a bit confusing.
  19. Oddly enough, Porcello pitched 12 innings in spring games and only gave up 1 walk. Who knows, really?
