  1. I don't think I've ever seen you post in caps before.
  2. The injuries are terrible luck, but it does look like Cashman had a terrible offseason too.
  3. E-Rod 0-2 12.38 vs. David Hess 1-1 2.70 Time for our first winning streak of the season. And could we maybe win one easy for a change?
  4. JBJ hit well the second half last year and in the postseason...I think he might even have been MVP of the ALCS... A little patience is warranted.
  5. The actual W-L record is equal to the Pythagorean record. Therefore luck has evened out.
  6. You should have seen what we did in Game 4 of the World Series last year. This team never quits.
  7. I love it when that happens.
  8. And contrast this with the 2018 postseason.
  9. With most of the damage done by Clutch Clutchland.
  10. The intelligentsia of Talksox fans do not have LeVangie on the radar of possible explanations for the rotation struggles. We have: 1. Leongate 2. Restgate Some reverse the order.
  11. It's real.
  12. That was one of the things that turned me off the game.
  13. The team needs to start winning games. The other numbers will look after themselves. J D Martinez is off to a rock solid start so that's a good sign.
  14. You were right, I just had to put in a word for Mitch.
  15. The BP and Mitch Moreland.
  16. Also can't forget that John Henry is not the only shareholder of the team. It was a group that bought the team. Henry is the biggest shareholder but I would assume Werner owns a fair chunk, along with Lucchino and whoever the other shareholders are.
  17. The biggest X factor for catchers is calling pitches and sequencing them. Obviously assuming that they are the ones calling the pitches and that the pitcher is going along with them. I know there are game plans put in place before the game, but I would assume there's also a fair amount of adjustments on the fly. It's a huge strategic part of the game. And it's impossible to quantify as a value.
  18. Yes, you mentioned that.
  19. I believe he meant 2.5 mill is a lot for another team who might have had interest in Leon.
  20. Nathan Eovaldi 0-0 8.10 vs. Aaron Sanchez 1-1 1.64 Okay boys, time to start winning some games and closing a little ground on the Rays. And time for our starting pitchers to put up some Quality Starts and quell all the drama about unpreparedness and Leongate.
  21. In other news of horrible starts, Trevor Rosenthal finally changed his ERA from 'infinity'. It's now 72.00.
  22. All subjective. I'm a Canadian and hockey doesn't do anything for me anymore. If you like speed and muscle it's a great game, but there's not much intricacy to it.
  23. Substantial indeed.
