    That's highly debatable. They might kind of like to have Betts and Price now, after all this. And their fans might too. Plus they could just work out a different deal directly with us and boot the Twins.

    It seems highly unlikely that a deal of this magnitude would completely fall apart because of Grater-All's issues, which were not entirely unknown to start with.

    I'm guessing the offers they got for Eovaldi were dismal, ones that required us to eat a lot of money. Also Bloom might not want to trade Eovaldi that much. Was it him who signed Eovaldi for the Rays? He might also think we need a hard-throwing right hander in the rotation. I'm just speculating there, really.

    Workman is a guy who could definitely fetch something good at the deadline. Relief pitchers are the ones who traditionally get overpaid for at the deadline.

    Hmmm...to add to that conspiracy theory, I think I read that when Mookie agreed to his 27 mill this year, part of the deal was that he got a private suite on the road.
