  1. A little weird, but not out of the question.
  2. No. Mookie was going even if Price stayed.
  3. I agree. Mookie is not exactly an innocent saint in all this.
  4. I really hope that's not exactly the way Mookie thinks. I think he's hoping the Sox, Dodgers and another team or two get in a bidding war and he can pick and choose where he plays out his career and collects his $400 mill.
  5. Keeping Bradley was simply not that big of a deal.
  6. Are you trying to say the Price deal will live in infamy? Because that would be a wee bit over the top.
  7. Free agency has been around for 40+ years though.
  8. Of course you do.
  9. I'm not sure there's prorating in this (highly unusual) case.
  10. Mookie's career splits: Home .930 Away .858 I don't think there's any question Fenway has boosted his numbers, especially in the doubles department - 135 vs. 94.
  11. We don't play them in 2020.
  12. Agree 100% Dewey.
  13. Castillo is an option, but I'm hoping the money goes toward pitching.
  14. Yep. And if you're injured, you're dead to me. Sports fandom brings out a lot of the worst qualities of human nature, really.
  15. Under by 19.6 million at the moment.
  16. And people would bail out on Mookie the same way if wasn't living up to his enormous pay checks.
  17. The 2019 team had Mookie but there was nonstop griping about the disappointing performance all year long. I don't remember too many people saying they still enjoyed watching the games because of Mookie.
  18. I think he should get a bit of a pass, not just because of the titles, but because since he bought the team we have had one of the highest payrolls year in and year out, and contending teams most years. I think that's about all you can ask of an owner.
  19. Sure, just get rid of all pitchers with potential injury issues and replace them with cyborgs.
  20. Why trade Eovaldi if he's pitching well?
  21. We didn't really know how much Clemens was going to benefit from the juice, though.
  22. How many times are you going to make us read that post by Dewey?
  23. Personally I believe it. Friedman doesn't seem the kind of guy who would just make a one-year splash and leave it at that. I think the Dodgers will make an offer but I have no idea how Mookie will respond.
