  1. I am, if only for the usual playoff randomness, because the quality of the pitching clearly is not there.
  2. Funny you say that, since Kendall didn't wear batting gloves either. Twins!
  3. How much can Vasquez really impact the ability to get extra strikes in the lower quadrant of the zone and overall pitcher execution? Only way to find out is through letting him play. Swihart needs some refinement regarding the fundamentals of donning the "tools of ignorance". I think (note: opinion piece coming) that his setup behind the plate, pitch framing, and reaction time could all improve. I like his athleticism and overall reflexes, but this staff needs all the help it can get.
  4. The O's are red hot, so we're running into a buzzsaw at the beginning of the season. The problem is that these are chronicles of an announced death. This unit is weaksauce, and we all knew it.
  5. This rotation will have zero stability until E-Rod comes back (asusming he comes back well, because knee luxations linger) and they can unearth a steady starter besides Porcello. Wright will be supremely inconsistent as all knucklers are, but a fine #5. Buchholz and Kelly though, make me want to punt kittens.
  6. This is correct, and I beat that drum harder the day they got Price. Mat Latos or Doug Fister sure would look good right about now. Sure, they're lottery tickets, but Jesus.
  7. Bitch please. I've been saying they need another arm while moving Kelly to the BP since the day they signed Price.
  8. I said it all throughout the offseason. They needed another decent arm to stop the bleeding besides Price. Buch ain't it.
  9. So no one in this rotation can throw a decent game with any sort of consistency?
  10. Absolutely true, and I'm not going to sit here and try to convince you otherwise. And I hope I'm dead wrong.
  11. But Hanigan doesn't look like a deer in headlights in most situations. I like Swihart, but there's something wrong there right now.
  12. Because he's struggling hard with cross-ups between him and the pitcher, handling pitches, pitch selection (apparently, I'm of the thought most pitches are called from the dugout), and pitch framing. Yesterday it may have been nerves all around with the new guys pitching at home for the first time, etc. But it did not look good.
  13. I hadn't been this f***ing enraged at this team since Pedro had short hair and Trot Nixion's dirt-dogness was a regular topic of conversation.
  14. The Orioles have shittier pitching than the Red Sox. "No one is as good as they look while streaking, or as bad as they look while slumping."
  15. Just terrible in every facet but the offense. Terrible managing and pitching by the two "vaunted" offseason acquisitions. Hopefully the kick their s*** into gear soon.
  16. You can't walk Machado to get to Davis with the platoon advantage. f***ing terrible.
  17. Holy f***, this sucks.
  18. Don't worry, Hanley's got it.
  19. What was Wieters thinking?
  20. How long is Farrell going to keep up this ********? Young is a no-factor against righties.
  21. Why is Ortiz retiring again?
  22. Love Swihart, but kid definitely needs to work on his defense.
  23. The baserunner certainly disrupted the pitcher there.
