  1. What is Farrell waiting for? Koji has nothing, he will not be able to preserve the tie.
  2. If Vasquez holds on to the passed ball, Saunder's contact is a DP ball. Such is baseball.
  3. Rutledge giveth, Rutledge taketh away.
  4. Koji is a more effective reliever than pretty much anyone else. The problem is that when the dog days of summer get here, they will have to really put the brakes on his usage. That's another plus of the Kimbrel acquisition. Koji's the best, but his body can't handle a full workload anymore.
  5. Just follow your sig's advice and you'll be fine bro.
  6. The Young signing was fine. The AL East isn't abundantly lefty-oriented, but has a fair share of power lefty relievers. It's not his roster spot, but rather Farrel's deployment tactic. Besides, a guy who doesn't have platoon issues isn't a 4th OF, he's starting somewhere.
  7. This is a joke right?
  8. My dad says idiots will be idiots, and as you age, you get duller, not sharper. "Make of that what you will" he says.
  9. Mexico is to DR what Chile is to Venezuela. We're in the same geographical region, we speak the same language, then meh.
  10. I am an ageist, because I can be now. If I'm lucky and I get old, I won't be able to be an ageist anymore. Carpe Diem!
  11. ^Where the material for SK's joke came from, ladies and gentlemen.
  12. I try to look at things objectively (I defend Ben, but acknowledge he made mistakes) and I'm a hypocrite? Do you actually know what hypocrite means? I understand that this whole "objectivity" thing is a foreign concept to you, but at least make a conceited effort to not be a blubbering fool on every single post you make. For the record, you were the one trying to pass off what I am clearly stating as an opinion, as if I was trying to state a fact. Either your reading comprehension is terrible (it is) or you just trying to come off as a massive tool (you probably are). And if you consider this "bullying", I suggest you get off the internet. It's not for you. Grow a pair. In the words of Don Corleone when he slaps a crying Johnny Fontaine:" Act like a man!". No offense ladies.
  13. Whenever I have to drive in this shithole, but then I can't post, because that would be illegal.
  14. He doesn't do the double backstep on any of the homerun swings I have checked. It may be just an approach thing. Jeter would inside out a lot of pitches, but he had a different setup/followthrough for balls he wanted to pull hard. I have the feeling Bogaerts has that 25+ HR bat sleeping inside him, but it will take a while to harness his power. For some guys, it's all about pitch selection: What do you inside out/flare the other way, what do you drive.
  15. It's age. Don't try to pass it off as something else.
  16. Where in this post am I pretending to know who made the calls? I am making an assessment based on the reality of the situation. Your boss f***s up and you didn't warn him, it's your fault. That's real life.
  17. Are you actually reading what I'm posting? This is literally why I'm calling you out on making stuff up. You are assigning a position to my argument that I didn't make. I am also in full agreement that Ben shares a lot of the blame for a lot of these signings, but you're either not reading my posts, or can't read, period. Read what I'm saying, then answer.
  18. Bogaerts has a weird glitch in his swing's backstep. It's like he's always trying to go the other way.
  19. It's a witty remark, not an expose on the failures of trickle-down economics. Lighten up, people.
  20. The "sense of humor" lever in a700's head gets stuck sometimes.
  21. Vasquez is a significantly better defensive catcher than Swihart, full stop. With the pitching issues this team is facing since the ofseason, it is common sense that Vasquez would claim the mantle of #1 catcher. This pitching needs all of the help it can get.
