  1. As I said, loved the player, hated the person. Same thing with Brady and Bryant. And I'm not revising history, Papelbon is unlikeable. Not Brett Myers level, but he's a tool.
  2. You're in denial. Papelbon is and has always been a douche.
  3. I dislike the Papelbon worship no matter who it comes from. See, my issue with Papelbon is the same issue I have with Brady and Kobe (and I have stated as such many times.) They play for my favorite team, but I hate their guts because they are douchebags. Now that Papelbon no longer play for my team, no reason to put up with his BS. iortiz is not that important. He needs to get over himself, and I've had this same argument with you during periods where iortiz is not posting. As you often like to say: "Don't try to tell me what I'm thinking". I dislike Papelbon, full stop.
  4. Waldo Geraldo Faldo Hwy?
  5. It's been horrendous in large part due to Farrell's tactical decision making, and we're back at square one.
  6. That doesn't make Farrell suck any less.
  7. I want to take this post, frame it, and hang it on my bedroom wall. Seriously people, don't you get tired of the Papelbon ********? Goddamn.
  8. You mean besides the several times (this happened in Philly too) he blew a game then essentially told the media he pitched just great, only to be called out for whatever reason then pouting about it? If that's the case, then no.
  9. Craig was always a lottery ticket. The insistence on such an injury-prone, wild guy is what is baffling.
  10. It's the most annoying thing. Papelbon f***ing blows.
  11. This is fair. Again, (and this is not speculation), the Sox pretty much begged for Kelly.
  12. The explanation is simple! Farrell is a f***ing idiot.
  13. It's a combinaion of the 2014-2015 period. No setup man in the league right pitches 100+ IP. Basic math tells you I was speaking of 14/15, and I even corrected it in the post. And every pitcher in the league is a ticking time bomb if he is misused. You are arguing for the sake of arguing (and very poorly mind you). Uehara is excellent.
  14. No one is expecting him to be 2013 Koji, you are making that up. Stick to the facts. The fact is that Koji has been excellent his entire career. He's one of the best relievers in the league, full stop.
  15. Uehara pitched to a 2.41 ERA, 171 (!)!, ERA+, 0.917 WHIP, 10.9 K/9, 1.8 BB/9, 7.47 (!) K/BB in 104.2 IP in 14/15. That's elite production out of the pen. Saying otherwise is just dumb, but they need to, as we all know, watch his usage because he's 41.
  16. Right on the money. Koji is one of the best pitchers in the league. He's been getting elite results with an 87 MPH fastball for years, regardless of age. The problem as far as Koji is concerned, is Farrell.
  17. Koji, at 40, topping out at 87, was one of the league's best pitchers. That's a moronic statement.
  18. Four of the team's losses can be pinned on what are supposed to be the team's three best pitchers (Price, Koji, Kimbrel). It's still early, but that is concerning to say the least.
  19. Just read what's being said for what's being said and stop interjecting with stupid comments to stir s***. If you don't understand what someone's trying to say, ask and don't assume. Also, read the conversation in its entirety before jumping in and saying something so objectively stupid that my ears bleed. Do you know what is a fact? Where was any speculation passed off as fact? Was the chicken and beer scandal not verifiable fact? Were there not reliable sources reporting Lackey wanted out? If you don't have a satisfactory answer to these questions (you don't), you jumped in with a stupid comment for the sake of being a jackass. Stop it.
  20. How are you this dumb? Read the posts.
  21. Struggling against Baltimore is understandable. Letting what is arguably the worst offense in this league hang an 8-spot on you is inexcusable. Get your s*** together Price.
  22. The Wall will humbre you.
  23. The rumor (this is unfounded) was that he may opt to retire instead of pitching for the league minimum in a Sox uniform. When Cherington was interviewed after the fact, he wouldn't flat out say Lackey wanted to be traded, but heavily implied he did. With all of the rumors going around, and Cherington not willing to say outright he never asked for a trade, instead implying that he had a hand in being traded, it's no use hanging your hat on any other explanation. If it walks and quacks like a duck...... That doesn't excuse the s***** return, mind you, since the Sox were reportedly the ones who were adamant about Kelly being the pitcher coming back in the trade.
  24. Chicken and beer and the very public dispute that happened afterwards is not speculation in the least. The fact that he did not want to pitch for the league minimum was also very much a fact. After that, the lines blur.
  25. Farrell really needs to lay off Tazawa.
