  1. Can it be Friday already?? Super pumped to get on that plane to Chicago. Was not saying that when I bought these tickets
  2. Lol. Even in the midst of a 31-12 run, people still find something to complain about
  3. Or some therapists and mental health professionals
  4. More importantly, 17-4 in the first 21 games of a stretch of 20 out of 29 games on the road. Long road trips like that can kill some teams. I'm hoping for a sweep tomorrow and at least a split in Toronto. If we have to lose a game in Chicago, I'm ok with that. Would be nice to hear Go Cubs Go be sung in person
  5. We have the longest active win streak in the league right now
  6. It's best to just not post during games at all. Or read the thread. Keeps you sane
  7. The host of my favorite morning radio show in Boston (not a sports show) said something similar one day in March when the Celtics were playing the last place Pistons. When they proceeded to lose that night, he took s*** all over social media for about a week. Jinxing is real you guys
  8. Thanks! I am so incredibly excited. My co-workers have told me all about how refreshing and impactful it can be to travel alone, and I thought this was a perfect time to try it out for myself. I have had my eye on this series since the schedule came out last September. Got a great deal on flights, so I splurged a bit on tickets. On Saturday night, I will be a few rows underneath the overhang directly behind home plate, and on Sunday afternoon, I will be in the first row in the RF corner. I plan on doing the full walk around to see all the monuments, plaques, etc.. I have also (somehow) never been to Chicago in general, so I will try to do some sightseeing, and try some deep dish pizza, but the ballgames and CPA exam studying will be the priority. I am also much more optimistic about the Red Sox team I will see on the field than I was when I booked this trip in late April.
  9. I will miss this one, as well as every other game this week as I look forward to 4:45-5 AM wake up calls the rest of the week. But it's all good, I'm going to Wrigley next weekend! Keep on doing y'all's thang
  10. I'm not rooting for them instead of the Red Sox. That would be seditious
  11. I am quite familiar with it, yes. I have my reasons for my stance. I've reiterated them multiple times over the years on here, and I don't feel like doing it again.
  12. Honestly, I'm surprised I'm not being attacked for repeatedly mentioning on here how I am rooting for the Yankees this year (for the most part). I would only root against them in the World Series if they played the Mets
  13. Lol. If you're trying to get a reaction out of me, it's not going to work. I care very little about politics. All I care about is being happy, and supporting others in their quest to find happiness through their optimal methods of self-expression
  14. Wow, did I miss a memo or something? Is this beat up on moon day? Why are you guys so hostile and condescending to each other?
  15. I am an advocate for leaving Houck, and everybody else, alone and letting them live their lives. Whether or not you are choosing to be vaccinated, play golf in a Saudi backed league, or literally anything else in this world, you shouldn't be chastised for your decision. Numerous factors go into the decision to be vaccinated, and I am sure Houck was no different. While I personally believe my vaccines and booster kept me out of the hospital when I had COVID in April, I never hold any ill will to those who have refused to get vaccinated. I was reluctant to get it at first too. It's not black and white. It's not even a purely political decision. How does Houck not being vaccinated directly affect YOUR life? It doesn't. So let him be.
  16. It's more like a grueling 6 weeks minus July 4th weekend.
  17. The amount of Cardinals fans out and about in Boston today and yesterday has been astonishing. I will try to bring the same energy to Chicago in 2 weeks
  18. RHP Paul Blackburn (5-2, 2.31) vs LHP Rich Hill (2-3, 4.38) Today in Boston: - Game 6 of the NBA Finals - US Open golf - Day baseball at Fenway Boston, the spotlight is yours.
  19. Too bad the other Bay Area team playing in Boston this week isn't this bad
  20. s***, I'm at the age where if I'm not in the big leagues by now, I'm washed up. Better start looking for a day job.
  21. RHP James Kaprielian (0-3, 5.73) vs RHP Josh Winckowski (0-1, 12.00) The A's don't deserve to have an all star.
  22. These days at big national firms like mine they are all online so at least I can do something else during it. When I work from home, I sit in bed and watch TV during CPEs. It's a 1 way webcast. We can see the presenter but they can't see us
  23. What's worse is when I have to sit through a CPE at work that is literally a concept that is on REG but only 1000x more specific. I try to tune out so that I don't overcomplicate things for my exam, which is on Friday btw
  24. What does get old, however, is standing crotch to crotch on the green line with other 18-25 year olds, those who, unlike myself, are prototypical 18-25 year olds
