  1. That feeling of walking up the ramp is something that I still feel every single time. And I've been to 8-9 games now just in the year I've lived in Boston
  2. I'll be sure to let you guys know if going to a game ever gets old, but I highly doubt it
  3. I have time to take the T home before Koenig delivers his next pitch. God he is slow
  4. I am on my way to the game. Picked up some student 9s. Great night for a CPA exam study break
  5. Yeah I go to the Esplanade probably once a week at this point. I love Cambridge but haven't gotten to explore as much as I would like. Last night I walked around BU after hitting Fenway. One of my favorite things to do when I get a night off from other stuff is to take the T to a stop I've never been to before and walk around for awhile
  6. LHP Jared Koenig (0-1, 9.00) vs RHP Nick Pivetta (5-5, 3.78) Recently I have been struggling with my mental health so tonight I took a walk down Ipswich and Lansdowne to see my favorite place in the world. Pretty cool to be walking around on a perfect summer night when there is no game on. Don't think I've ever done that before. Most of my office is going to Thursday's game, but I have to drive home to CT to take care of something.
  7. Great way to end a long road trip! 1 hitter thrown by the bullpen and some timely hitting and great defense. 8-2 is the best west coast trip I can ever remember, and I will take it. I would have been ok with going 5-5, based on how we usually play out West. Now we have Oakland, Detroit, Cleveland and the Cubs coming up. Let's make some more headway
  8. Well he could go the distance
  9. RHP Tanner Houck (4-3, 3.46) vs LHP Robbie Ray (5-6, 4.97) Ray sucks this year. Let's get it After this game today, we only have 4 more series outside of the Eastern time zone for the rest of the season (Houston, Minnesota, Kansas City, Chicago). No more late games!
  10. 7-1 on the road trip. I will take that any day of the week. There are no ugly wins, just ugly people
  11. If we win tonight, I officially petition we stay on the west coast for the rest of the season
  12. The magic touch of Cora's in game decisions is starting to come back as well, from what I've noticed
  13. As a great poet by the name of Kenneth Donald Rogers once said, "you got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, know when to run"
  14. Since we were 10-19, we have gone 19-8. In that stretch we have still lost ground on the Yankees in the standings. Wow
  15. Why would it be so bad if the Yankees win 100 games, or even the World Series? Enjoy good baseball when you see it. Get over your decades old rivalry. My generation doesn't give a s*** about rivalries. We like players more than we like teams, and Judge is my favorite player on the planet
  16. Too bad Phil Nevin is in the dugout tonight instead of on 3rd base. Now we won't be able to throw anybody out at home
  17. Weird how the one year we play well out West is a year where less than a month before going West, we were 10-19
  18. Not too psyched to play a team on an 11 game skid because when the losing streak gets this big, you know it's going to end soon. They also try harder and harder every night, which may make things worse for them, depending on how you look at it. If we get the lead first, they will be pressing like crazy. Maddon will certainly bring the infield in with anybody on 3rd in any inning, even if they have a lead, I would imagine
  19. Trout looks like 2021 Franchy right now
  20. Was this in Oakland? We stayed within walking distance to the coliseum so that we could be close to the airport. My dad and I went to a game there but my mom didn't really want us going anywhere else. Not a great neighborhood
  21. Let's get to .500 tomorrow and then go beat the currently hapless Angels
  22. What a turnaround for Pivetta since April
  23. I am enjoying watching this Yankees team and I don't give a s*** about what any of you might have to say about that
  24. I am biased since I actually am a Celtics fan, but I have to imagine it is fun to be in Boston right now if you are just a sports fan in general. Everybody is following this series. Everybody. I have 6 radio stations saved as presets in my car. None of them are sports talk stations, but all of them were providing their own analysis about the game yesterday.
