  1. The Marlins are 51-38 with a -10 run differential for the season
  2. I have to say that this is the strangest Red Sox season I have ever witnessed (keep in mind I am much younger than most of you). With the amount of injuries we have had, and the talent on the roster on Opening Day, I think it is absolutely mind blowing that we are somehow 45-43 right now. Even more inconceivable to me is the fact that we are 12-1 against the Yankees and Blue Jays. At the start of the season, I would have been thrilled to go 81-81. At the moment, 85 wins - maybe even 90, depending on what happens at the deadline and getting players back from injury - seems very realistic. But to be 45-43, 3 games out of a playoff spot, yet still in last place (and ahead of the entire AL Central)? How does that makes sense?
  3. I was a base stealer, so when I played, I hated facing lefties. Had to make sure they were actually going home rather than trying to pick me off
  4. Even I hit righties better than Casas
  5. If I hadn't been let go last month, I probably would have gone to Wrigley again this year, or San Francisco. I loved my San Diego trip so much
  6. This is the first game I've gone to this year at Fenway that didn't end in a walk off HR. What a disgrace!! I want my money back
  7. Red Sox are now 5-0 this year in games I've gone to. Who thinks I should go more often? I'm already going again on Friday. Sitting in the Monster for the first time ever.
  8. That Chicago series is against the Cubs, not the White Sox. Not like it makes a world of difference
  9. I will be at the game tonight (as well as Friday). You would be hard pressed to find a more perfect night for baseball than tonight. Almost makes me not care about the outcome of the game
  10. Oh I am a big Swiftie but wouldn't be caught dead at an event like that. If you know anything about Gillette, you know that there is quite literally one road in and out. So I can imagine traffic was brutal. There was also a torrential downpour during most of the Saturday night show. Maybe it's just me, but being soaking wet and too drunk to remember it later really doesn't sound appealing
  11. One of their other big flaws is Aaron Boone. Without Judge, it's harder to overcome your manager shooting yourself in the foot every night by the lineup cards he fills out and the pitching changes he makes, or doesn't.
  12. Lol to that Taylor Swift part. I went to SD to see the Sox the weekend Taylor Swift was at Gillette. Boy was I glad I was single that weekend, and the 5 months leading up to it
  13. Lol. It's true though. I exclusively fly Delta now that I am a cardholder and Skymiles member, and when I was coming back from San Diego to see the Sox play last month, I purposely went out of my way to connect through Minneapolis rather than Atlanta.
  14. For starters, the MSP airport is probably my favorite that I have been to in this country. People are great, life moves a little slower there. I went to Saint Paul for a work conference last year and fell in love. Even in the heart of the city, it felt like a small town.
  15. Wishing I could be there for this series. Minneapolis is one of my favorite cities
  16. Tonight will literally be only the 2nd home game of the year with perfect weather
  17. Did not expect to win this series, but am definitely not complaining
  18. I don't care if we win or lose tonight. I had a great pregame tour of the ballpark this afternoon and got to meet Don Orsillo, and tell him I grew up watching him every night.
  19. Lol appreciate the shout-out. Looking forward to another great afternoon and evening here in San Diego! I resisted buying some Bogaerts apparel in the team store last night, but my seats tonight are even closer to the team store so I definitely think I will walk out of there with something. Felt great and almost surreal to see him again last night. This trip is already off to a better start than my trip to Wrigley last year
  20. No, I was in the LF corner just to the foul side of the warehouse. But I was watching BP from a spot that was a few rows over from where the first HR landed
  21. What a game! Beautiful night. Petco Park certainly impresses
  22. Dave O'Brien was also on my flight last night, so that was cool
  23. It's been a tough couple months for me physically and mentally, so it was a solo weekend trip I felt like I needed. I went to Wrigley last year as well. Going to start going to at least one new ballpark per year until I hit all 30
  24. Hey guys! I'm here in San Diego. Currently watching the Sox take BP from the RF bleachers. Will be at tomorrow's game as well
  25. We could lose our next 9 and still have a better record than we did at this point last year
