    I have been to two games so far this year, and have seen two walk off home runs!

    Ok so we're undefeated on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and winless on Monday-Wednesday.

    Sadly no. But I'm ok with it. I haven't really been overly interested in our tournament run due to various things happening in my life. I should get home at some point in the second half, I would imagine

    Well I'm supposed to be destressing, and I am having trouble thinking of a place that is less stressful than somewhere I've been going 2-3 times per year since age 5 or 6

    Chest pain and a mysterious rash. I'm fine. In short, the accounting world was killing me. Turns out busy season is a lot more stressful when you're on a team with incompetent leadership.

    Headed to the game today if the weather holds up. Looks dry this afternoon but we would have gotten over a half inch of rain by then

    I've felt near dead mentally. That counts for something! But seriously, all is well. Been going through a lot of changes recently. Just enjoying the busy season in the accounting world, and the new part time job I have on top of that. Preparing for a move to somewhere else in the Boston area in June. I've had a tough week, so I figured I would check in here to see what's up. I can't wait for those summer nights at Fenway, regardless of how good the team is this year.

    By no means are we out of it. At some point we will go on one final hot streak. Hopefully it started last night and continues into Pittsburgh next week

    Franchy hit a walk off grand slam that I witnessed in person so I can't give an unbiased opinion on this... But I do agree with you

    This is my opinion on the matter, edited down significantly in order to not come across as political: She broke the law in a foreign country, by doing something really stupid. You have to know that foreign countries, especially ones that are not democratic, have vastly different drug laws than we do in the United States. So, is she being "wrongfully detained?" Absolutely not. The maximum penalty in Russia for those offenses in 10 years. She got 9. Wrongfully detained, at least to me, means that the punishment is excessive. Just because it is more than we would give her in the US, or just because people don't agree with it, does not mean it is all of a sudden "wrongful detainment". Should we try to get her home? Absolutely. Would everybody drop what they are doing to protest and get her home if she was not a celebrity, not a minority, and/or not a lesbian? Absolutely not. Nobody would care if it was an average joe or jane. They would leave them to fend for themselves. That's the part I don't like about this.

    I will lose interest in baseball on September 11, week 1 of the NFL season, just like I do every year (including last year - although I obviously came back to baseball for the playoffs) But, I'm simply pointing out that it really isn't as bad as some of the people on here might have us believe. If we can start winning division games, we will make the playoffs (largely because doing so will mean beating the teams ahead of us in the WC standings)

    I'm sure Brewers fans will be roaming the streets of Boston all weekend. Same thing happened when the Cardinals were in town. The fans of these NL teams that aren't here very often sure like to make a weekend out of it, especially in the summer. I kind of like it though. It's fun to watch tourists get on the wrong train, not realizing that only 3 of the 4 green line trains lead to Fenway.

    LOL. I just watched the sun set here, one city south of Boston. Meanwhile it is pouring at Fenway. Life is funny

    Yep, no complaints on my end. Just busy studying for my final CPA exam, while also working full time. I also went to Minnesota for work, so the last few weeks have been hectic. Sure, it sucks not having a playoff team to go cheer on in person in a few weeks after my exam, but life isn't about winning. A Boston sports fan my age has been very spoiled.
