  1. Eh, it's one of those things people my age should learn nowadays if they don't want to fall behind in the corporate world
  2. No, because A) I already have a job in Boston, I don't have the graduate degree required, C) while I am good at that stuff, it bores the hell out of me, and D) my experience working as a videographer for a D1 football team the last 2 years (sadly only 2 and not 3) has shown me that working in sports burns you out real quick. Hours are ridicuously long, and for baseball that would probably mean 60-70 hour work weeks from mid-February to October.
  3. I'm proficient in SQL, SAS and JMP. I'm an accounting major, analytics minor
  4. Other than the graduate degree, I'm pretty decently qualified
  5. The vast majority of college freshmen and sophomores were born after Tom Brady got drafted into the NFL
  6. So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye @Perez
  7. Adios muchacho
  8. Damn, now we're the only ones left without a manager. This is very very bad news.
  9. Speaking of which, somebody please hire Cora so the Red Sox don't have to
  10. Sad but not surprising. I was 8 his rookie year, so I've idolized him for most of my childhood. He and Ortiz were the two Sox players that I was young enough not to remember a time without them, so thanks moon for the reminder that I'm getting old LOL
  11. The best thing he's done in Connecticut is open up a sports bar right next door to the Hartford-Springfield Airport. Otherwise, even we hate him here
  12. Paul Konerko strikes me as somebody that would be a good manager
  13. It's definitely no easy call to make, but his pitch count was low and you have nothing to lose
  14. Agreed. Analytics cost them that game. Another reason why I hate analytics (even though it is my minor LOL) Say what you want about Jess Mendoza, but she had a nice take this morning on ESPN about Analytics vs. Feel. Essentially what she said was, who cares about analytics when you can look out on the mound and see your ace mowing down the opposition?
  15. What do you have against LA?
  16. Come on AJ bring this trophy home this winter!!!!!!!
  17. It's been their weakness for the last 10-12 years or so
  18. It's going to snow here on Friday!!!!!! I'm excited
  19. Well yeah. Depends on your perspective
  20. Dodgers need to do it to prove to themselves that they can. They've been the best team in the NL for the last 4 years. Coming up empty again would be tragic. In 2017, the Astros were cheating, and in 2018, the Sox were clearly the better team. But for the NLDS choke last year, and a choke here this year, they have no excuses.
  21. Somewhere between 100% and 100%
  22. I think the Dodgers are fully capable of choking, but I want them to win tonight so much for so many selfish reasons. But, it would not surprise me at all if the Rays win in 7.
  23. Let's not call them the BJs please...
  24. Blue Jays offense also won't consistently rake like that over a 162 game season
