Definitely the latter. I love the man, but until he can prove that he can hit consistently, teams will pass on him. Doesn't matter how good his defense is. Hard to see him starting anywhere at least, and he must be asking for starting CF money

Well, we of all people should know that Ben Cherington's judgment is, at best, foggy. I'm not opposed to a deal. I just think we can get more back for him in a year or so. I think he'll come around offensively.

These last two weeks he has been an absolute inspiration to me. I always liked him before, and never stopped liking him (especially because of what he did here in CT), but I've been really struggling with my game over the last two years or so. Like I've lost hope a bunch of times. Seeing him come back from the doldrums makes me feel like I can do the same. I just wish he didn't have to beat Berger this week. I was the only person rooting for Berger that Sunday in Hartford, as I had just been the standard bearer for his group for the last two rounds. Both guys are class acts.

I am aware. I was making a satirical remark on how some people take the civic duty more seriously than others. At the end of the day, voting is not mandatory, but there are many (including me, generally) that see voting as the morally proper thing to do even when the ticket is less than desirable.

It's only a 6 hour drive to El Paso to Phoenix. If anything, they should blackout Diamondbacks' games

It's been like this forever. What gets me now is that my TV provider, Youtube TV, dropped NESN (and YES) leaving us here in CT completely shutout. FWIW, we still have SNY and Mets games because SNY also broadcasts UConn sporting events that are not nationally televised. Not sure what I am supposed to do come April

No way I could let myself sit through another Nomah. Wouldn't be the same -
10 years from now, Nashville is going to be booming. It's the new Austin. My company is opening an office there this summer. I'm seriously thinking about moving there, especially if my best friend gets into grad school at Vandy. Nashville will have more major sports teams very soon. They already have the Titans and Predators. If Memphis wasn't such a historical basketball city, the Grizzlies would probably move. Unfortunately, they are probably the only team that could move to Nashville, because there is no way the NBA would let there be 2 teams in Tennessee.
