  1. Huge thank you to the Patriots, who saved me from watching this game tonight.
  2. There's a minimum wage for salaried workers? Or are those players getting paid by the hour?
  3. A couple people I know blamed the weather in Game 4 for knocking down that Sanchez sac fly. It would be a true statement to say that it would have been out in June, but that's postseason baseball for you. It's played in October every year, so shut up. But, I do agree that if the Yankees had won that game, they would have won game 5.
  4. He's setting up his excuses now for when the Yankees don't win the World Series. Every year with Yankees fans it's something different. 2017? Oh Houston cheated (well they actually did) 2018? Angel Hernandez cost us that series. They're a good team, but since 2009, they've had a propensity to lay an egg in the Postseason. 2012 ALCS was ugly as well
  5. Don't you love it when you find something that proves yourself right?
  6. There are literally 3 threads talking about Bauer right now. Why don't you join one instead of showing off your need for attention by starting one for every thought you have?
  7. Bruh you're gonna come back here in a week. GTFO and stop making stupid threads
  8. That's your opinion. Nothing wrong with that. I just feel differently, largely because I grew up in a state with an equal amount of Sox and Yankees fans
  9. Nah. I got so used to watching other stuff that when sports came back, I really didn't care. Still watch football on the weekends, and I still am interested in playing whatever sports I can find, but I'm much less inclined to watch a game just because it's on.
  10. OMG I've only ever dreamed about that kind of world. Sign me up.
  11. I would still prefer if he changed his name to Duran Duran
  12. Believe it or not I actually want the Yankees to beat the Rays. For reasons I have stated earlier, I would be ok with the Yankees winning the World Series. I also hate the Yankees more than the Rays. Somebody my age has had more negative experiences with the Rays than the Yankees during my lifetime as a fan
  13. Cora could have shown even more integrity by not being Houston's ringleader. He could have chosen not to participate, and even blown the whistle. As for giving up sports, fine with me. Being quarantined pretty much did that for me already. I watched maybe 3 Red Sox games this year.
  14. Cheating. I think that's been proven as a fact. I'm talking about what he did in Houston.
  15. If Cora comes back, I will not be rooting for this team until he is no longer manager. I don't support cheaters.
  16. How great would it be if it was Marlins-Padres in the NLCS and A's-Rays in the ALCS. All 4 LDS series are divisional matchups, so you never know
  17. Maybe Sixto Sanchez's parents loved Seinfeld. Sixto has a better sound to it than Seven
  18. Somebody's gotta do it!
  19. It's like the Jets and Super Bowls. Can't lose 'em if you don't make it there most of the time
  20. If Machado does something to either Mookie or my boy Pollock while they're on base, I'm getting on a plane to Texas to personally beat him up
  21. Make starting pitching great again
  22. In many ways I agree. But it is worth pointing out that almost everything we find in life is the product of somebody's opinions. Like I've always despised movie reviews. Don't tell me whether I should like a movie or not. When it comes to baseball, though, I tend to shy away from advance stats. I won't be a baseball executive any time soon, so my judgment on players is founded on overall likeability. If they're a nice guy with a good story of working hard through adversity, and they are productive, I'm a fan for life. I'm not going to stay up into the wee hours of the morning trying to figure out who the best at something is, or who is the most valuable. If I was getting paid a huge salary to do that for a ball club, then by all means I would dive ten toes deep. But, I'm not, so why put myself through all that?
  23. I agree with you, but you never know. Last year, everyone kept saying the Nationals were going to lose the next round. Oh they beat LA? They'll lose in the NLCS. Then when they did, oh there's no way they'll beat Houston
  24. Patriots have a national TV audience this week. They're in Kansas City. One of the games of the year IMO. 4:25 Sunday. And there's no baseball? You got no excuses this time LOL
