  1. Guardians would make a great trade partnet, imo. I'd love to add Bauer and Kaminsky for Gardner or Salazar for him. I doubt Carrasco would be traded and if he was the price would be too much.
  2. Rip me apart if you must, but if I were the Red Sox I'd sign O'Day 3/23 million, he'll likely get around that in this market. Convert Joe Kelly into a bullpen arm and hope you get a power arm you can turn into a lights out BP arm. Trade JBJ for Paxon from the M's. Sign Jordan Zimmerman for 6/90 million. Zimmerman Porcello Buchholz Paxon/ERod Miley You'll have some depth at SP with Paxon, ERod, and Miley. If Buchholz or Porcello were to get hurt or ERod or Paxon deal with growing pains. I think Price and Grienke will get an absurd amount of money and I'm not being mean but I can't see the Sox having a 200 million dollar payroll this year. You're already at about 169 million before anymore additions. I doubt anyone is going to take Panda's or HRam's deal off your hands without you adding in money. You could deal Buchholz though to make room. I think you'd have a pretty good rotation, a top 5 bullpen, and a really exciting lineup that has potential.
  3. No you still have a deep farm system dude. You could easily get a Sonny Gray or a Tyson Ross or even a Carrasco from the Guardians.
  4. obscene? he's not craig kimbrel dude.
  5. He's not bad, if they are able to add O'Day and mix and match him and Tazawa in the 7th and convery one of Owens or Johnson as a lefty out of the bullpen, they'll be fine. They'd have a really solid bullpen top 10 in baseball, maybe even some consideration for a top 5 spot.
  6. Royals did it with a really good, deep line up. Cain, Hosmer, Zobrist, Escobar, Gordon, Perez, and Moustakas are all very good players. Morales and Dyson/Rios aren't bad either. Their lineup was balanced and it was deep. They do have some work to do this year though, like trying to extend their players but I really liked their line up last year.
  7. Jordan Zimmerman to the Red Sox, mark it down. Fits well into their plans, won't push their payroll into the 200 millions. Dodgers will have to get one of Grienke or Price. Cubs will be looking to add and Giants I think will spend big and overpay for Cueto.
  8. I'm all for Refsnyder getting the shot at 2B, but I wonder what Profar would cost from us? After getting Didi last year, it makes sense for Cashman to check in on him which he did about a week ago. What do you think he'd cost?
  9. Henry Owens or Brian Johnson converts to a bullpen arm and is your lefty out of the bullpen
  10. Damn I called this deal, or well pretty close to it! Good deal for the Sox though, Margot and Guerra didn't fit into their plans. They still have pieces to make more deals. I can see them signing O'Day too. Looks like the Red Sox fans don't like the deal, they still have Moncada, Devers, Espinoza, Benintendi, and Johnson for a strong top 5. After that it gets dicey but thats still a top 10 farm system. Their bullpen improves, if they add O'Day they'd have a pretty good bullpen with Uehara, Kimbral, and O'Day.
  11. It's said Torri Hunter really helped him out this year, grow as a person. I'm not expecting him to be a super star, but he made good progress last year and I'm interested to see how he does this year.
  12. Didn't Bird win it last year too? DBacks are asking about Miller. They've got some interesting young SP. I doubt we end up trading Miller though.
  13. I don't think it's that cut and dry to be honest.
  14. I like Pirela but I don't think he had a place here. Ryan is here and will do a solid job. I like his clubhouse presence too. Refsnyder and Ackley at 2B. No need for Pirela, we have some nice depth. Getting a solid ceiling SP for him, who could turn out to be more is a good deal. Maybe he turns into a Phelps for us. I wish Pirela all the luck though. Yankees also traded Murphy for Aaron Hicks of the Twins. Another move from a depth position. I love Murphy and believed he could have been a starting catcher in the Bronx, but with McCann here I under why he was traded and good for him he will go to the Twins and get the chance to start. Hicks is a nice return too. I hope we can trade Ellsbury now, but I can see us dealing Gardner. This move doesn't even mean we will trade an OFer though, he just replaces Young. Great arm, SB threat, and still a very high ceiling. I actually hope Romine gets the nod behind the plate as the backup. I think he will do well in that role. Sanchez in Triple-A and sign a vet catcher or go with Eddie again I guess to mentor him. Two deals I like, I hate giving up Murphy, but it was a chance Cashman had to take. Would love to see a Gardner plus trade to the M's for Walker now.
  15. Anything can happen, dude. Red Sox gave Ruth away. White Sox could give Sale away too, or the Nationals could give away Harper. Anything can happen at any time. I do agree though if the white sox have any sort of hey we are a baseball team, they would ask for Betts, plus Yoan Moancada, plus two of the Sox pitchers like Erod, Owens, Rodriguez. and maybe still ask for another prospect.
  16. Heyman is floating a Starsburg for Miller idea. idk if I'd even do that, starsburg is such a mystery.
  17. If they trade Gardner, and im not like gung ho about it. I really like him, I'd look into signing Heyward. If not, I mean you have Aaron Judge coming up. Beltran is in right for another year. Ellsbury can play CF for two more years too. I actually like Ellsbury for a bounce back year in 2016. You have solid prospects in Heathcott and Williams as well. Right now the OF is Garder, Ells, Beltran. With Judge, Williams, Heathcott and Gamel in Triple-A. The off season is long too, we could make many moves.
  18. I would love to deal for Cashner, I think it'd be an excellent buy low option. I wouldn't mind expanding the deal to include Kimbrel with Gardner and more going back to the Padres. They might have interest in Refsnyder to play 2B for them. I'd also look at the Giants to deal Pineda too. I'd love to snip Bickford from them for Pineda.
  19. Estrada is no a legit SS prospect at the moment, don't play him up to be one.
  20. Top 30 prospects list. http://m.mlb.com/prospects/2015?list=nyy I'm excited about the top 8. A lot of talent in the lower levels though, a few of those IFA from last year should start to pop next year. I hope Ty Hensley can finally rebound and take a big step this year.
  21. I'd wait to deal to Mateo if you do, imagine the trade value he'd have if he was producing at Double-A or Triple-A. I wouldn't deal him for Kimbrel, since I don't see Kimbral as an important need. I've said it since July, I think the Sox land Kimbral for a package around Devers or (Benintendi and Johnson).
  22. If the Mets win the Series this year, I could see them going in on Chris Davis. Lucas Duda is alright, but if you added Davis to that team and resigned Cespedes.... they might be favorites for the WS again next year.
  23. Who are you talking about, Price and Grienke, or someone like Sonny Gray? I took a look on SoxProspects and seems like they want either Harvey or one of the Guardians starters (Carrasco or Salazar)
  24. Just out of curiosity, would you guys deal Betts or Bogearts for Matt Harvey? Not sure if it was talked about but I don't feel like going throught 58 pages haha
  25. I'd hold onto Mateo too, I think he will shoot up the ranks next year and have a major break out year. It was great to see Clarkin pitch well in the AFL too. Next year it'll be fun to watch him, Acevedo, and Finley. Not too high on Lail and Davis, but I think Lail could be steady like Phelps. I'd actually shop Warren around, we were able to cash in on Phelps and Greene last year. Mitchell I think could be great in a Warren type role next year. We have a steady flow of solid, but nothing special starters coming up. We could exploit that. The system is flush with options right now and you have to be excited about the potential. Judge, Mateo, Kaprielian, Sanchez, and Refsnyder is a pretty good top 5. Mateo and Kaprielian are farther away but show good promise and Judge, Refs, and Sanchez are knocking at the door with Refs looking to break camp as a starter. I really hope they give him and Ackley the job. As much as I'd love to add Zobrist.
