  1. The Yankees have got pretty lucky during their down season. Great trades have paid off. Some of our prospects have taken big steps forward, even though we've dealt with injuries. ARod gone. McCann clears waivers, I hope we can get rid of him, but I wouldn't just give him away for nothing. Should be extremely interesting to see how this all plays out. Money coming off the books. Interesting trade options still on the team for this year, this off season, and next trade deadline. Extremely excited right now. Wade, Fowler, and Adams are lower tier guys who don't get attention in the media, but they have been really awesome, all three taking big steps forward, huge fan of Fowler.
  2. I doubt he retires, but I think he'll take the rest of the season off and try to come back strong next year.
  3. If you are going to add them, you have to give the Sox their 3 B's, and ERod.
  4. It'll be interesting to see what Cashman does this off season too. I think he might re-sign Chapman. I would be interested to see the price of Mitch Moreland as a free agent. I wonder if he tries to sell off a few more pieces this winter too, like McCann and Pineda? I'm hoping we go after Lourdes though.
  5. Beltran to the Rangers for Tate and two others according to Sherman. I love Tate, good buy low option too.
  6. Yankees grab Clippard from the DBacks. I'm guessing it's for somoene like Ben Gamel to clear up some of the outfielders in the upper levels.
  7. The fire sale kicks off today. Miller to the Guardians for Fraizer a 5 tool outfielder, ranked as the 24th best prospect and Sheffield, a low 90s lefty, and two others not known. I hope one of them is Aiken or Clevinger.
  8. If we can pull off another trade or two, Nova, Beltran, etc... could be a fun time for us. I like our system a lot now. I'd like to see us target a pitcher like Sheffield for Beltran. MLB.com updated their Yankees prospects list. My own list now consist of: 1. Torres 2. Judge 3. Mateo 4. Sanchez 5. Rutherford 6. Kap 7. D. Garcia 8. Adams 9. McKinney 10. Wade Really like Adams and McKinney has been a favorite of mine since the 2013 draft. Bumped Acevedo and Fowler off the list. Keep dumping some payroll and I hope we use that to sign Lourdes Gourriel.
  9. Great trade! Cashman needs to start calling others about Miller, Nova, Beltran, etc. Everyone should be on the market right now. Even Dellin. If we got this for Chapman... let's see if we can't get Mazara and Profar from the Rangers for Miller.
  10. Great trade, Pomeranz will be a nice #2 for you guys, and he's cost controlled. You guys are in a win mode, you've got an excellent core. Still a great farm system with two good pitching prospects. I am not a fan of Devers, but I'm a huge fan of Benintendi and Moncada. I think Dave had one more trade up his sleeve, maybe for Lucroy from the Brewers centering around Devers, Swihart, and Ockimey.
  11. Have you ever had a roommate in college or had a brothe or sister who pissed you off? Say they ate your food or told your mom you stayed out late and said I'm going to kill you, you little ****! That's domestic violence. It's just section C instead of section B. Although any co-inhabitant, blood relative, relative though consanguinity, or even someone you crash at their house for the night if your family kicks you out of the house. If you bring your clothes, and other personal belongs there you've established residency at that location, even though it's just for a short time.
  12. DV is not just with a wife or GF though. Read the definitions in the codes. Maybe it's just due to I see DV cases 2 times a day and i'm jaded by the system but that and OVI are both extremely high rated crimes that should not be happening but they do and very frequently. You can't gauge statistics on those since those are the most serious crimes that go unreported, but I do know it's very high.
  13. I love it when people come on internet message boards and try to act like they are so clean. DV happens all day, im sure at one point 80% of this message board has committed some type of DV. DV are actually hard to prosecute since the victim usually ends up not wanting charges. I'm not saying hitting ANYONE, be it a woman or a child or even a man, is something okay to do when you are not provoked. When it comes down to it, we all commit certain levels of deviance. It's in American society, it's in Canadian society, it's in society in general. I've personally seen a lot of men who IMO could not of committed the act, but still have been arrested. It's a law, if somoene complains about DV you have to arrest, but thats not always the case, but more than likely it will be done since the officer could lose his job over it. With any crime it should be investigated and you can't jump to conclusions, esp with DV since the level of burden is lower in this case.
  14. So you're saying Judge is trade bait or is just overrated?
  15. I was talking about Hicks Vs Judge
  16. You don't have faith in Judge? I'd like to take a chance on Tony Sanchez actually. I think he could be a nice addition to the Triple-A team.
  17. You panic too quickly and you value our players too much. You need to relax a little. Cashman has made some good trades these past two or three years.
  18. I'm not too worried about the rotation dude. I think Nova has a strong contract year. I think one of Pineda and Tanaka will be healthy and the other not. I think Servino will be fine, not as good as he was in 2015, but still above average and continue to improve from there. CC is a mystery though. Gardner's just not going to bring back something amazing dude.
  19. My bad I forgot they signed him. Still would like to grab Joe Ross though.
  20. Hoping for a Joe Ross for Gardner and Refsnyder deal now. Would fill to gaps for the Nats, their outfielder they want and they can move Rendon back to 3B. I'd also love to sign Sierra the Cuban pitcher. Make a few moves from our position of depth, maybe an outfielder like Heathcott or Gamel dealt for a Triple-A 3B.
  21. Not trying to start a flame internet war or anything but the Yankees bullpen is now the best bullpen in baseball by far. Second is the Royals (Davis, Herrera, Soria, and Hochevar) toss in Tim Collins too. I'd try to keep Mitchell in the starting rotation in Triple-A. Chapman, Miller, Betances, Pazos/Lindren/Shreve, Pinder/Goody/Rumbelow/Campos, and a long man or Nova. I'd convert Vincente Campos full time to the bullpen. I think he could be so dominant at that role and give us a potential power 8th inning arm. I'd try to get Joe Ross from the Nationals. They are looking for an outfiedler. Cashman's moves always come in pairs. 37 men on the 40 man roster as of right now.
  22. Loved Jagielo's power hate to see that leave, but he was expendable. Wasn't a Rookie Davis fan at all. Cotham is an alright arm, but he's blocked 13 times over. Surprised we didn't give up Gamel or Heathcott, with so many outfielders in the mix. Chapman basically replaces Jagielos since we spent a first rounder on him and will get one back in next year's draft when Chapman signs elsewhere. Dellin and Miller mixing in the 8th, and Chapman closing it out is flithy. That's an all star game backend of the bullpen.
  23. Triple-A depth is starting to take shape. It's going to be a very solid squad. Catcher - Sanchez with Eddy Rodriguez mentoring him. I think Romine starts as the back up, so Sanchez can get regular playing time. 1B: Bird. Unless they deal Ackley, I think Bird starts at Triple-A. 2B: Refsnyder, so far three of our top 6 prospects at the same level. Pretty interesting. SS: Not sure I don't know if Kozma could handle SS anymore. OF is stacked right now... Judge, Heathcott, Williams. DH: I mean I'll stick Austin there for now, but he could be backing up 3B, 1B, corner OF spots. Gamel and Renda rounding out the bench. I'd love to see a vet sign a minor league deal. I'd target Chad Billinglsey then fill in the rest with Mitchell, Lail, Cessa, and Green. Bullpen should again be stacked: I think Pazos starts with the big leagues, same for Pinder. So Lindgren, Goody, Rumbelow, Cotham, Barbarto, Webb, and Montgomery should make a shut down pen for that level. Got to love the depth there. Could deal from a positon of strength in the bullpen or outfield.
  24. I'd go for McGee too but only since he'd cost less in terms of what he'd bring back. Also Friedman probably likes guys he knows more.
  25. Because the of the return the Phillies got for Giles. VV, Appel and the others is pretty damn good. Not to say Giles is nothing though, he's their own Dellin Betances per se.
