  1. plus the cage is good luck lol. Please close it out at home Bruins.
  2. What are these reasons? Looking at all the starters contracts, he isn't going to crack the rotation in the next three years, so where is he gonna fit in? How long till he is major league ready? Two years?
  3. I would have loved to bring A-Gon back for a one year deal, but didn't he get a multi-year deal from Toronto? Isn't that we he booked it from Boston? Job security?
  4. Prospects are unproven trading chips, Gonzalez is 27? and already a proven commodity. He is young and very talented. I'll take that over the potential of Lars Anderson or Casey Kelley. Trade Kelley, there is no room for his anyway. Think about it, Beckett, Lester, Dice-K, and Lackey are all locked up. We have control of Clay for many years. If they want Clay so be it, you can find 5 starters anywhere. This team has many more problems than just a power hitter, the pen sucks and the is hurting on the injury front right now.
  5. MDC should be DFA... to think we could have traded him for something usefull in Nick Johnson last year... wooo Beltre walks for once and we take the lead
  6. B's came out flat tonight against the team that was in desperation mode. Before they realized they needed to step it up, the game was over. If the B's come out in game 6 and play like they did in the third period, which is how they have played for most of the series, they will be fine. Throw in the home ice advantage and B's won't be flat. I would like to see the Bruins actually take a first period lead for once and do something on the Power Play. Rask, for this first time in the series looked bad. Bruins as a whole took the night off for 2+ periods. I'm saying the Bruins win 6, but of course if they don't then I'll be the one worried and will remember the other times when they have blown big series leads before....
  7. Let me trying and think of ten ways to fix the team (in no order of importance) 1. Bench Ortiz. The guy is out there killing our lineup and when you have a bat as capable as Lowell on the bench you can't waste it 2. Get a defensive minded catcher. Either trade for Kurt Suzuki or bring up Mark Wagner. Get V-Mart more Ab's at DH and 1stbase, which means Beltre needs to sit down for a while when Youk plays 3rd and Ortiz gets DFA'ed 3. Trade for Adrian Gonzalez 4. Get some help in middle relief 5. Get everyone healthy and on track. Its hard to perform at your top level when your catalyst atop the lineup and LF, and CF are on the DL. The starting rotation will be fine, its the least of my worries. If Dice-K sucks then Wake goes back into the rotation. V-Mart, Youk, and Drew are struggling, that won't last forever. Well, I got 5
  8. Have you watched him the last two Aprils? Both times he got off to slow starts, its trend, albeit a bad one. Once May rolls around he picks it up. I don't know why he starts off slow every year. I agree with you and everyone else that Wake isn't done in the rotation, he will still get 5-10, maybe more starts this year in the rotation because or injuries, rain outs, etc. Dice-K could be back on the DL on struggling and Wake could be brought back up
  9. Flyers were plummeting down the standings at seasons end, I didn't think they would beat the Rangers in the last game and make the playoffs, never mind upset the number two seed Devils.
  10. It's boston.com, so its 50/50 they are wrong lol. But it still should be sink or swim time for Clay regardless.
  11. I'd throw Lowell out there more and let him test out the hip, its better than watching Beltre flail away at pitches and be a dissapointment. If Lowell starts to hit and prove can play the field you either increase his trade value or ride him till he cools down. Ortiz needs to be DFA or sent down to Triple A to figure his s*** out. V-Mart needs to play 1stbase/DH more b/c his inability to throw out runners and play defense behind the plate is hurting the team. For a team built on defense, having a s***** defensive catcher makes perfect sense, Theo. Trade for a defensive catcher, get V-Mart more AB's at 1st/DH, move Youk to third then and have Beltre's useless ass sit on the bench. Adrian Gonzalez rumors need to begin, but it would be hard to lose Buchholz
  12. its the O's, we should sweep. Anything less is a joke
  13. Wow, Devils knocked out in 5 games.
  14. I would have liked to picked Bryant, but I understand why the Patriots didn't draft him. That Pats have bigger needs, that being said the Pats really screwed up by picking yet another CB. McCourntey is a great special teams guy and will probably end up being a number three CB at best. Sounds like a guy we drafted last year, Darius Butler. We wasted a first round pick on something we already have. I read that there are 19 draftable CB's this year, so we could have waited. We needed an OLB or a pass rusher. Granted the LB/DE class is deeper than CB class, but still pass rusher was the defenses biggest need. We already have enough young CB's, what we needed was to make a trade or pick a veteran CB via free agency. Hell, I'd rather take Braynt thant McCourtney. I'd give the draft selection a C+, hopefully Bill can use those 3 2nd rounders and really help out the team. I'm really starting to think BB is really at the end of his creative geninious
  15. LOL at people jumping on Jack when he was right all alone, now only if Dipre was right about the Cameron and Beltre signings, maybe the Sox would be in a better position in April....
  16. No surprise here, $ is the only reason the Yankees buy those championships
  17. Green played probably too much last year, that is why he started to struggle. There is reason why he is a career backup. He was great for a pretty long stretch, but the Sox rode that pony too long last year. I had no complaints about the guy, he did his best of his abilities and it worked for most his tenure while starting
  18. Did you just refer to Nick Green as a defensive first SS?
  19. I don't think another intelligent hockey conversation can be had ever again with you. Based on Save % and GAA, Tuukka Rask was the best goalie in the league and this is the playoffs, you put your best goalie out there for all the games. There are enough off days were the goalie isn't fatigued, and unless a goalie is horrible, there is no reason to pull him for a game in the playoffs. Without Rask this team would be down 0-3 right now, so the Bruins need all the help they can get with all the injuries. You don't throw away a game and put Thomas in net.
  20. DARNELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
