  1. I'm all for seeing Vasquez sooner rather than later. I'll probably have to take the 20 minute drive to Pawtucket to do so.
  2. I certainly have not lost faith. Hope the game is played. It looks like rain.
  3. This person is probably someone who was previously banned as another member. The IP is usually a dead give away.
  4. Brock Holt to the rescue! It would be nice to have Drew.
  5. I saw Pineda pitch in ST. It was a very small sample against AA-AAAA batters. He looked very good. I bet he has a good season. He'd better because the Yankees have questionable pitching quality and depth.
  6. Victorino's injuries are bothersome to be sure. However, unlike horseface, last year Victorino had a very productive season. Tex hasn't done much in quite a while, has he?
  7. It warms my heart to see the photo of you in your avatar Mike.
  8. I made note of the standing ovation Braun received in the Brewer's home opener. How stupid! I was happy to see the Fenway crowd boo him heartily yesterday!!! He's a lot like A-Rod. Without purple lips.
  9. I hope that his efforts yesterday will not prove to be the norm. Yikes! I'm skeptical about him because of the way he ended 2013. I hope that he does not have a "dead arm" or some lingering injury.
  10. I am wicked pleased that the Sox were able to retain Nap. He has developed into a top tier if not gold glove quality 1st baseman and he has big time pop. Many seem to be dissatisfied with his frequent Ks. Too bad! I like the fact that he sees so many pitches and that he is a threat behind Ortiz. Lastly, unlike so many disingenuous players that come to the Sox, Nap has truly embraced living and playing in Boston. His inebriated and bare shirted bar hopping tour post series has endeared him to the Sox fan base. I'm looking for him to have about the same level of production this year as he did in 2013. Oh, Doji was right not only about Nava but about Nap as well.
  11. So many talksox members are all over this guy. I'm not sure why. For the record, I wanted Salty back even though it was apparent that he did not fit into the Sox plans near or long term. AJ may not fit the Sox mold for taking many pitches and a big OBP but he seems to have the respect of the pitching staff and he said to call a good game. Yesterday he threw out someone attempting to steal second. This may be an aberration. I hope that it isn't. I think he will do well for the Sox this year. And maybe if one of the three young catchers in the pipeline do not make it to the bigs soon, he can be had for a cheap enough price through 2015.
  12. It was nice to see Dempster at the game yesterday. His efforts were not always fruitful, but he always showed up and tried to do his best. I appreciate that. I wish for him to have good health and a pleasant life after baseball if he is now done for good.
  13. Will said mojo include pasta?
  14. We have Beaneater posting here. I believe that he still lives in Benin? I small country in west Africa near Ivory Coast. Still, it's neat to have Sox fans from such diverse locals posting here. Talksox is a melting pot!
  15. I don't know if Tex is done. Although he seems to spend a lot of time missing games. I have noticed that he hardly ever does anything outstanding, especially against the Red Sox. This makes me very glad that he decided to sign with the Yankees at the 12th hour. It is better for him to be a bust in New York than in Boston. Plus he is ugly. Horseface. The Yankees should have kept Swisher.
  16. Yes it was posted by username yesterday.
  17. I was very satisfied with how Lackey pitched last night. Dingers happen. I think he will have a very productive season. Based on hunch! I hope Doubront takes off his dunce cap and pitches to his talent tonight. If so, series win!!! For some reason a lot of people are all over our new catcher. For what it's worth, Lackey ( out of the blue ) volunteered in a post game interview that Mister P ( I won't attempt to spell his name so I can avoid VA's wrath ) called a very good game last night. Plus he got a hit! Wooooooooooooooo!!!
  18. Baltimore does deserve some credit. The city did produce John Waters.
  19. Lol. Everyone just chill. I hate seeing the Sox loose on opening day too. They have a long way to go. I'm still pumped!
