Gotta go to the source here! Should I as a cubs fan be expecting the greatness they claim is coming or am I being played as the fool?? These guys have the PR machine on high over here. Having town hall presentations with season ticket holders telling us about the amazing things they have cooking. Which we already know about everything they have cooking because its the only thing we have going on for the Cubs! The question is does the payoff ever come because the last 3 years have been painfully terrible! And FYI, getting AJ is a great move for a contending team. I cant stand the guy, but he is about as good of a team player to have. His arm is going to be a problem but you should be expecting some clutch hits. He is the Anti Dempster.

Got to see Mr. Dempster today. Still lives here on the Northside of Chicago. I said hello to him, he has met me a few times. Dont know if he remembers me or not, whichever the case, now you see how bad he can be! I know he started well, he always has, but when the games mean more, this guys performance just falls off the table. couldnt meet a nicer guy, a guy you wish nothing but good stuff for, but man when the tough get going, Dempster is not one of the guys you want in that foxhole. So my question is, do you have a minor leaguer we can take here in chicago, if we take back $10 mill of his salary this year? Theo and Jed have broken this thing down to nothing. We dont even owe Zambrano and Soriano money anymore. We could be like an NBA team this absorbing salary. See you guys in the 2017 World Series.

As a LONG TIME Cubs fan, I have watched this guy really closely for years. Couldn't ask for a better Clubhouse guy, great for the community, total veteran player, knows how to pitch....but I warn you, when all the Marbles are on the table, his giggy will shrink to the size of a pea! (A small frozen one at that!) Some of the biggest games he pitched in, he was terrible! Playoffs games v The Dodgers, huge inner city rivalries v White Sox, games down the stretch in 2007 when we made the playoffs. I am by no means a Red Sox hater. Always felt a little kinship and when the BoSox came to Wrigley a few years ago, enjoyed hanging with many Bostonians (If that is what you like being called) I hope I am wrong, as Demp was nothing but a really nice guy to me when I met him a few times, but when the money was on the table man. He flopped! Now you guys can tell me....should I be buying into the Theo and Jed plan of rebuilding,or is this smoke being blown up my giggy?
