I don't know for sure but the Sox reportedly had a deal or agreement with Paralta that if he was not promoted to the show by a certain date that they would grant him a release. I am not sure that his departure signals a promotion to AAA but who knows?

Me too. This was back when Japanese stuff was widely viewed as junk. My Aunt gave me a 9volt Panasonic Transistor AM radio. I lay in bed that night listening to the game on the earphone so as to not alert my parents that I was still awake! Then in the morning I saw the photos of Tony C in the Globe and was even more horrified. This was my first season following baseball at 11 years old.

Aren't the Marlins just looking to trim payroll as a lead-up to a sale of the team? If so, how focused are they on attaining top shelf prospects in return? In any case I am against paying good money for bad after the expensive mistake of the Pablow deal. Live with what you have now. Unless you have a top 3rd bagger as a trade target.

I do. I had the opportunity to read in-depth about the physiology of the erection in one of my Father's OLD reference books. Actually an erection is quite a complicated process. The problem with a priapism is is the stagnation of blood in the tissue of the penis and the resulting low oxygen levels. Of course my memory could be failing me. But at least at 62 I am still in the game!!!

How about Beltre? Not a rental. Would you move one of your choice guys for what remains of Beltre's deal? If I am "going for it" this year I would strongly consider it. I don't see any of the guys mentioned doing much for this team other than Moose and he won't be available. To me, Beltre makes sense.
