I have been against this move because I believe it will be too little, too late. Sox FO should not have ignored you for the past 6-7 years. We still need a RHH power bat, even if it is not in LF. DD will make a move or two by the deadline if only to keep up appearances and the perception that he is all-in and doing what he can to bring this team to the promised land. Frazier will need to be red hot to help this morbid offense. The strange thing is that this team has enough pitching to win consistently. If they make it to the playoffs they stand a chance of advancing. I'd feel a lot better if this team could score more runs.

I wonder if any of the Sox players resented the fact that Pablow was making so much money (2nd only to Hanley among positions players, I believe ) and was producing so little? In the real world when one employee makes significantly more money but does less to contribute than employees that make less yet do their job and do it every day such feelings do exist. Maybe it's just a rich boys club and they all cheer him. I kind of doubt it.

"Little bunch of lightweights". I like that and I tend to agree. The idea of Frazier blasting bombs over the wall sounds nice but who needs to spend money and chips on a .217 hitter for three months? f*** that s***. Go big or stay home with the lightweights.

I'm not looking forward to position players pitching today. MLB should allow temporary expansion of rosters for days when double headers are played. No team should be short handed because of a schedule. It cheapens the product on the field.

That I do not recall. Although I did see two of his Gold Gloves in Falmouth one summer. He married a local girl named Malvena Pena. I'm not kidding.

And while on the topic of defensive Wizardry, Gerorge Scott was heads above ANY 1st baseman I ever saw too. I look at guys like Horseface, Agon, and Moreland and wonder what the f*** a "Gold Glove" represents. None of those guys could carry Boomer's glove. But I am sure someone will point out he had a lower UZR than those three.

Yaz was the best defensive left fielder I ever saw. Of course there must be some statistics to shoot down my observation.

Frazier is a low OBP all or nothing free swinger with average chops at third. He is exactly the type of player the Sox should stay away from unless he is gifted to the Sox. Nope. I'd rather keep rolling with Lin and Marrero and an occasional appearance by Holt if necessary ( assuming he makes it back ).

I'm not. The guy is a sloth. He cares only about Hanley and can not be relied upon to perform well consistently. He used to get by with his supreme athleticism but now is impactful randomly. I want him to do well because he is on my favorite team. Otherwise, I can't wait for the clown to be gone.
