  1. I was surprised that he moved on from Ginger Lynn.
  2. If this is the case then maybe you are wrong in assuming Pablow is a wonderful, magnanimous, hard working teammate. I have made no assumptions about Pablow's personality or character. Last year I may have called him lazy, a Fat f***, or a Fat Slob. I did have evidence to back my labels for him. Just because he lost 30-40 pounds does not change that. Again, he has done nothing to justify being the starting 3rd baseman this year and certainly has done nothing to justify his BLOATED contract.
  3. If he is not injured I believe that he is the same guy.
  4. My Father had what he called his Hall Of Name. He taught at Boston College where one of his peers was ( spelled phonetically ) Agamendon Despopolous. My Dad just called him Aggie. There was a Korean girl in one of his Biology classes called Yu Bin Fuk.
  5. I see Moreland is sitting. I hope it's just a blow so he can rest his foot. Otherwise I would like to see both Moreland and Travis in the same lineup most nights with Young spelling one of them at DH as well as being the #4 OF.
  6. This. I still say use what they got for now. Can't and don't need All Stars at 8 positions. Sox won it all with at least one black hole in the lineup in 2004. The rest of the team needs to cowboy up and hit the way they have in the past.
  7. I think it's cool that Lin got his first MLB hit in his first at bat. Wade Boggs would be proud.
  8. Why not? Second of all, I have not assailed Pablow's character this year. He is just useless. With a smile.
  9. Well f***. I am not capable of doing my job, either. Maybe I would be in a better mood if someone was paying me $96. mil to sit around and smile.
  10. Such is the nature of touted prospects. I have not seen him pitch this year but I am assuming that he has made no progress with control and command. Being send down to AA is the kiss of death for him. Should of cut his hair long ago.
  11. Hanley has done little other than play unexpectedly decent 1st base and hit close to his career norms for one out of two and a half years of the biggest contract of his career. There is always something with that guy and his big smile can't cover it up. So much for maturing. As for Pablow, exactly how has he proven any critic of his wrong? I must have missed that display of greatness. Both are legitimate and worthy targets of criticism from what I have seen.
  12. We don't need a glove only right fielder. If there are batting quirks that interfere with him being a big producer they should be addressed and fixed with maximum haste.
  13. And epic battle of two 1st place juggernauts is imminent. My the Gods be with our boys! Win you stupid Sons of Bitches.
  14. Lol. I suppose so since I can not substantiate my opinions with stats! I expect little more than nothing from this guy going forward. He can't or won't play 1st base even occasionally. He can't do the job as a dedicated DH either. I'd get rid of him at any chance.
  15. Is it possible that he has earned this rap over his career? Hasn't he been a problem child in the past? hasn't he "suffered from injury" quite a bit in years past? Maybe this is a case of there being fire where there is smoke. Also, I find his shoulder injuries curious in the way that Manny's knees were curious. No one can say which one is THE problem and how it affects his ability to play. He has his biceps. He has his money. He has his girly-man hair. He has attention. No need to perform bigly. He is all set in his mind.
  16. So a guy gets promoted to AA and is now being seen as blocked? He is at least 1-2 years away from MLB. A lot can change in that time.
  17. Which supports my point. If by some miracle Price could morph into vintage Pedro he might be able to salvage his stint in Boston. I am confident that will not happen. I have always liked Price the pitcher. He has not done very well in Boston compared to his first 8 years in MLB. Now he has a spat with the media. He is doomed in this town. Too bad. Wait until Sale f***s up somehow. That will be fun.
  18. Farrel has stated that the cracked finger nail will not cause Price to miss any starts. Of course that report may be false as well. The Boston media is making a big deal of it one way or another.
  19. Maybe both of us read an inaccurate report. What I read made a point of stating that it was his non-throwing hand. Of course it could all be more of the special love the media has for Price. He is being blamed for something and it has to do with his disappearance down the tunnel while asking Willis to follow him. The entire Price story is f***ing stupid in my opinion. As I see it, once he signed that ginormous contract he had a target on his back. I even asked this board what would happened if he fell short of expectations ( at the time of the signing ). Most people shrugged a meh. I think this entire thing is f***ing stupid. And it will not die until Price is gone one way or another. That is how this town ( market ) works.
  20. What I read indicated that it was on his non-throwing hand. Hence, my sarcasm. Not sure what hand it is on now.
  21. And you are requested to call me Old Fart.
  22. Lol. You have obviously squinted to see the dim light at the end of the tunnel.
