    A 30+ pitch inning added to the fact that Bedard isn't likely going to see 100 pitches (he's been on shorter starts thus far this season) makes me feel like it's going to be a bullpen kind of game for Houston.

    I'm not sure who is the best pick available for the Jags to take to start the 2nd. I can see them taking a QB (Smith/Barkeley) but I'd much rather they take one of the defensive lineman left (Moore, Jenkins, and there was a guy from Alabama (Williams?) who I can't quite remember. I'm pretty sure one of those QB's will be available in the 3rd round should the Jags want it, either that or they'd inevitably suck again this year so they can pick a QB at the top of next years draft.

    Erik Bedard is 5-4 with a 4.25 ERA in 12 career starts vs. the Sox. I've always been a fan of Bedard, he has a 3.88 career ERA in a lot of innings in the AL East, but he was always hurt. In addition, he started this year as a reliever so he hasn't thrown many innings in his start, so we may be able to feast on Houston's bullpen even if we don't light Bedard up.

    That's going to be a tough pick to beat in the draft. Bills are gonna hear about that one for a while.

    I feel like Breslow and Morales coming back would take care of both of those, provided we make Miller disappear.

    I could only imagine what this bullpen would look like if we also had vintage Bard from a few years ago.

    I think the weirdest part of that game was that the Texas relief pitcher got a save despite the final score being 30-3.
