    It's kind of sad that we couldn't score anything with the bases loaded with Middlebrooks/Drew/Ross, but at least we got them out of the way so we can begin the next inning with the top of the order.

    I'm watching via Gameday so it doesn't show all of that. (And I'm too lazy to read all of the game thread comments) But thank you for the update, that's good to hear.

    I think we need to score as many runs as we can before the bottom of our order comes up. You can never have too many runs vs. Oakland. Who'd have thought after the decades of horrible offense that Oakland would be a good run scoring team?

    If Drew didn't just hit that triple would you still say that he's looking better lately? I just wish they all didn't suck at the same time. Our pitching for the most part has been great all season so we've single handedly lost a few games because we couldn't score any runs, and having them all suck (plus the general lack of power imo) has a lot to do with it. I could only imagine what our record would be if our starting or our bullpen weren't as good as they were.

    With 95 pitches I'm not sure about putting Lester out for the 6th, but the way our bullpen has been taxed I think you almost have to. Especially since the scoring had been all in one inning and Lester has gone over 100 pitches his fair share of times.

    Yeah other than that HR against Price which helped us win the game, he has been totally useless. The bottom 4 of the lineup (Middlebrooks/Gomes/Drew/Ross) are all hitting below .200. (Ciriaco is as well)

    Damn Drew brought his average all the way up to .135 And Gomes has an even 10/10 K/BB ratio. So even though his average is under .200 his OBP is closer to .400.

    I don't see it as "ganging up on" as that would imply a bunch of posters are fighting one battle vs. him. I see it as several posters fighting several SEPARATE battles that all happen to be vs. him (and from what I've seen, all happen to be started by him)

    Honestly, for the past week every post you've made has reeked "total dick" Like every single post you've made has been some uninvited snarky remark about something only you care about made to someone who doesn't want anything to do with you. What I find weird is that we've both been here for over 4+ years yet I don't remember a thing about you. I have fought dozens of posters here but as far as I know this is the first time we've crossed paths and spoken to one another, and every post of yours makes me think "wow, that guy is a total dick"

    I always like his chances in Fenway vs. a lefty, even if it is Anderson.

    That was a very interesting read. I was also thankful for the difference between "command" and "control" as I mix them up every once in a while.

    That's an impressive game. I cheat and I still haven't been able to do that in MLB The Show.

    I just hope Oakland doesn't end on 13 runs or else my baseball pool has to pay out for the past few weeks. I had the BlueJays this week so again I'd get nothing.

    I could have, but this was my aol instant messenger sn because Italian Stallion was taken, so I switched the middle syllables. By the time I joined here it was a matter of muscle memory. Kind of like how one of my old yahoo ID's is "YouLiveOnlyTwice" for the same reason.
