  1. Dave didn’t know who Bello was at signing. Houck was a mess until 2020. The one guy he certainly scouted and knew was Casas.
  2. Maybe 2025? He has a long way to go. This offseason is big for him working with the conditioning staff.
  3. Is he getting DFA’d or are you just making this up?
  4. They activated Urias.
  5. f*** yes. Get it Bloom.
  6. Should just send him to the FCL after a medical exam IMO.
  7. Other tidbits: Paulino is down to 24 Monegro is now in the Top 30 Kavadas is down to 42 Lugo is down to 47
  8. Anthony 2 Teel 5 Perales 7 Zanetello 9! Drohan 11 Garcia 14 Cespedes 15 Valdez 17 Castro 20 Those are the notable adjustments in the Top 20 to me.
  9. @bradfo Per source Noah Song is back with Red Sox SoxProspects should have held off on updating their rankings!
  10. @bradfo Per source Noah Song is back with Red Sox
  11. I like Anthony but am worried about his splits.
  12. They mentioned that Perales ticking up a grade and Drohan ticking down. Does that mean Perales would be grade 3-7 now?
  13. 8/4/22: 4 games back of the WC 53-54 (7th WC slot) 8/4/23: 2 games back of the WC 57-51 (4th WC slot)
  14. On the change to pitch clocks: “Still no data to support pitch timer causing more injuries: IL placements for pitchers from spring report date to Day 124 of season down from 379 in '22 to 360. Placements since 1st day of spring games down from 365 to 349. Regular season placements down from 285 to 239.” - Anthony Castrovince
  15. Rizzo complained to the Yankees about "fogginess" and forgetting the number of outs plus other post concussion syndrome symptoms last weekend. Yanks still played him three more games for some ungodly reason. WTH? Boone was asked if there was any consideration in not playing him: "NO."
  16. But if they did trade JD last season, a certain segment would have flipped out on how the sky was falling that the BOSTON RED SOX CAN'T BE A POVERTY FRANCHISE that trades its superstars and must always aim for the playoffs when it's only 2 games back. When you're in that position, unless you win the WS, your choice will always be wrong.
  17. Some posters have no shame.
  18. That one was definitely a steal.
  19. If he picked one, it would have been an underwhelming option at best.
  20. And he's overpaid per FanGraphs. His AAV is 36M, but was only worth 26M last year.
  21. Wacha and Hill were injured and I agree on those two 100%. I think they shot themselves in the dick when they said they wouldn't trade Xander. They should have traded JD for a low A prospect just to get under the CBT at least. That would have made the comp picks this draft much higher.
  22. They already declined the club option.
  23. Ok, are people not allowed to even mention trading a player? I've always said they should hold onto him for the QO, but it's reasonable to have a conversation about the possibility of trading him too.
  24. I'm not the biggest fan of holding, but it's not the end of the world. There was a MUCH bigger argument for trading last year's assets than for the guys they have this year.
  25. I think most everyone wanted at least a back of the rotation starter. People saying otherwise are just making an argument for arguments sake.
