    Considered for what? He's an OF only guy and wouldn't play in front of Jones or White. His best spot right now is AAA and working on his hitting every day.

    I think Roman comes up first. If Adley is healthy, Gasper goes down. If Adley isn't, Seigler goes down. If Story is ready to go as well, add Mona to the uber if Gasper needs to still be up for Adley. Otherwise, it's Seigler and Gasper are the first two out the door IMO. I'm not rooting for those moves, it's just my guess as to what they'll do. I really like Seigler. I think that's just the direction they are going (bench: Sogard - good glove and versatile, Mona - good bat and probably backs up Story until IKF is promoted).

    You also said players "hover in limbo until the lineup card is announced." Unless you are a bench player, that really isn't the case. Rafaela has enough versatility to play MIF, RF and CF, but I don't think they should ever move him from CF again. Wong was initially seen as a C/UTIL guy, but they've seem to have scrapped the UTIL role from him. There are always going to be emergency reasons to move someone, but lineup cards are generally predictable.

    He's a better add than Story. He has patient AB's and has a good glove at SS.

    I believe they were planning on playing him at 3b at the time, but were leaving their options open depending on other trades available to them (Marte/Paredes). This doesn't mean they had any intention of moving him around willy nilly during the season. Also, it would have been a mistake to move him off of 3b.

    Durbin has played 0 innings at any position other than 3b for the Red Sox.
