  1. He's on the Luis Perales track having missed a lot of time due to injury and only peaking at 63 IP in a season. I wouldn't count on him being in the Sox rotation ever.
  2. Wyatt Olds wasn't lighting up the boxscores either. The difference is that Olds has decent stuff and Song doesn't.
  3. Turn a WOO game on. That's your best bet.
  4. There was overlap with Wyatt Olds and Wyatt Mills in Worcester which was confusing for some of us freaks that are in too deep.
  5. Seigler has a better OPS vs RHP. I'd go a strict platoon at 2b with Monasterio and Seigler. Demoting Sogard doesn't seem like a big deal to me.
  6. Did I say "impossible?" Don't believe I did! "8.5 back and just went 3-7. Seems unlikely."
  7. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/which-teams-have-suffered-the-most-due-to-injuries/ Red Sox #1 - 12.8 fWAR potentially lost due to injury YTD (ZiPS) Red Sox #1 - 4.0 fWAR potentially lost remainder of 2026 (ZiPS)
  8. That would get them to 95 wins. Only 2 teams in baseball had that many last season.
  9. 15 game win streak incoming I guess!
  10. Last time out, he went 5 IP and pitched well. He also increased his pitch total by 10 pitches from his previous post-injury starts. My guess is that he can go to 90 pitches today as long as everything looks good. He's never thrown 160 IP before and he's at 108 right now. This is just kind of his workload TBH. They also want to save him for the playoffs.
  11. Per FanGraphs: 3.1% win division 7.0% win WS It's more likely that they win the World Series than win the division.
  12. Will they play .750 ball with Bennett, Suarez and Sandoval pitching the way they have recently?
  13. So, they'd catch the Rays if the Sox play .750 ball and the Rays play .500 ball. Even that seems like a lot.
  14. 8.5 back and just went 3-7. Seems unlikely.
  15. He's a good catcher. I think the expectations on him weren't fair.
  16. Good for Wyatt Olds. Hope he can get a K or two. Has some intriguing stuff, but hasn't ever put it together.
  17. Rutschman 3/26 - 5/9: 986 OPS 5/10 - 7/18: 654 OPS 8/11 - 8/16: 332 OPS Many people were warning about his April numbers doing a lot of heavy lifting for his YTD stats. 705 OPS since the start of '24.
  18. Sox could have matched that Perralta deal. At least he didn't try to trade for May again.
