Grissom has a higher projected OPS, but I'm not sure you'd want to put a younger player in the leadoff spot right away. Also, Duran's projection is way under what he did last year.

It happened because Nike took over and rushed into it. They really cheapened out in the process and nobody took a second look at what they were doing. They were more concerned about "breathability" than anything else and it caused them to look like dogshit and be virtually transparent. Really cheap. For some teams, they've moved the middle button hem so that the script doesn't line up anymore and it looks awful (Dodgers is a good example). The names on the back are smaller and look like foreign knockoffs. The white pants are see through.

This team has really lacked bats that can put the ball in the seats. If you throw Dalbec out there at 1B/3B/LF/DH against LHP, I think he'll see some good results.

Even if the IFA signings heavily leaned into pitching, IFA prospects are far less likely to turn into impact starters than guys drafted in rounds 1, 2 and 3.

Sox had NO pipeline for their rotation. They had to try something. Solely relying on IFA's and low round draftees wasn't going to cut it. Bloom should have had a fire sale in '22 and stocked up.

Hard to comment on Fitts or Sandlin since I haven't really followed them. Reports are that Fitts is only a two pitch guy right now and needs great control to work out. Sandlin has really good stuff, but is just far away so we haven't seen him face advanced hitters yet. This year should be a bigger tell for Sandlin. I think Early has the prototypical starter's build out: frame, left handed, velo, projection, pitch mix. He's ranked fairly low now, but he's someone that could rise in the rankings and become a 4th starter just by being competent at what he does. Paez and Monegro both need their stuff to pop a little for them to stay in the rotation. Monegro is a little more exciting now, but people are probably sleeping on Paez. Ian Cundall really likes Hunter Dobbins. He has multiple offspeed pitches. Can pitch deeper into the game than Wikelman at times. 1.10 bb/9 in AA last year.
