  1. Per ZiPS projections: Turner 749 OPS Story 755 OPS I think this is what they are relying on.
  2. Grissom will get fulltime run. O'Neilllll will most likely not be healthy enough.
  3. Noah Song isn't a starter anymore. He needs to be moved to the bullpen. I bet Duffy starts in Salem and is moved to Greenville midyear. Wikelman is probably up in WOO midseason. I hope he can stay as a starter, but they need to figure that out because his 40 man clock is ticking now. Perales too. If Perales doesn't jump this year, they need to push him to the pen. I believe Winckowski should be swapped with Murphy on the BOS roster.
  4. We haven't heard public statements from Henry. You have to remember that Werner is a tv guy and cares about putting on a show. He likes stars. Henry doesn't give a s*** about that. If you talked to them about what they'd want out of the Red Sox, you'd get two wildly different answers.
  5. ZiPS didn't project him to OPS 828 last year, so you're good to project anything you want. The projections are basically putting his career line out there and going with that for '24.
  6. Kavadas is projected to come up and provide one bomb this season. Looking forward to it.
  7. https://www.fangraphs.com/teams/red-sox/depth-chart 774 OPS for the '24 BoSox
  8. https://www.fangraphs.com/depthcharts.aspx?position=Team
  9. Who is hating on him? He was a good player.
  10. 660 innings. Maybe coming close to an end if the 600 innings rule is correct?
  11. I haven't paid much attention to the bottom of the barrel.
  12. Do you expect him to repeat what he did last year?
  13. I think the Offense could be about the same. Story could be a big hinge point, but we've been waiting on him for 2 years. Bullpen should be about the same depending on trades. Rotation is a big unknown as it was last season, but I'm not sure it could be worse. The defense should be better only because it was awful last season.
  14. This offseason is similar to what Boras did in 2018 when he held a bunch of players out and threatened to have his guys form their own Spring Training team. The general feeling was that Boras was holding the market hostage at the time. I'm not sure he's taking as much of the blame this go around. Hosmer - new team JD - new team Moustakas - returned Arrieta - new team Holland - new team
  15. I don't believe so.
  16. I heard somewhere that Toronto was cutting budget too? Jays just signed IKF to play 3B. Bellinger is the most likely of the bunch to go back to the previous team.
  17. IDK, I wouldn't worry about years of control for Rafaela. He's not a max contract guy that you have to manage the years for. You will go crazy if you start doing it for every player. Just play the guys when they are ready.
  18. I call that game "Werner wants to spend, but Henry is a tight ass." That's what I've said all along. Sam is Henry's mouthpiece.
  19. And if they traded him in 2014, the franchise outlook would be different how?
  20. Monty Snell Clevinger Lorenzen Ryu German Greinke Syndergaard Hill Cueto Odorizzi Kuechel Keller Urias Bauer
  21. Boyd Teheran Velasquez Lauer Names running out for the bottom tier.
  22. That's why I said "generally." Taillon had his second as well. Each surgery just compounds the risk of being able to come back healthy.
  23. He has thrown over 160 innings every year since 2018 except for 2020. Last year he threw 184. It wouldn't be unbelievable for him to match the innings that Paxton and Sale threw last year on his own. It's really not saying much.
  24. This is a game called Too Many Cooks. @redsoxstats “In the end, we don’t have a line in terms of our payroll that we look at as much as trusting that (Breslow) is going to deliver on his assurance that we’re going to be competitive.” Tom Werner, Jan 16 "We have set parameters for (Breslow) to operate under." Sam Kennedy, Feb 19
  25. @tylermilliken_ Kenley Jansen working his way back from lat soreness. Said he expects to play catch today.
