  1. Well, you should have been around for the arguments 20 years ago when they wanted to put a new Fenway near the water.
  2. The fakest home sellout streak of all time. Scalpers had so many tickets they couldn't unload, but it would still count as a sellout for some games. Are you blaming COVID or the product on the field for the attendance?
  3. The franchise was good in spite of him.
  4. An average defense would have given them 8 more wins last year so by doing nothing they wanted 8 more wins this year!
  5. Before the season, we predicted anywhere from 70 to 82 wins. Nobody on here predicted high except in jest. Vegas had them at 77.5 wins. This team is not underachieving.
  6. Not ownership! They apparently thought this team as created was playoff material??? I don't get it.
  7. @BostonDotCom Sam Kennedy admits that 2024 Red Sox have ‘under-performed’ No, with the product you allowed to be put on the field, this is where we expected them to be. Ownership always pointing fingers at everyone else.
  8. http://news.soxprospects.com/2024/05/scouting-scratch-changes-that-have.html New scouting notes on 2024 Perales changes.
  9. I wouldn't care about the last part if he just stayed out of the way. He still seems to muck things up from time to time. Maybe Theo will help? Maybe not?
  10. I thought the hometown cooking aspect was more about the fans onsite than the stadium or sleeping in your own bed?
  11. If it wasn't for Machado, Pedroia would have had a much better shot at sticking around on the HOF balloting for a while. Now, he's more Ian Kinsler/Willie Randolph than Ryne Sandberg.
  12. Casas only fixes 1B. They still have massive power outages at 2B and CF. The bottom part of the lineup are AAA hitters.
  13. He's not scared, they just know he has foot in mouth disease and try to not have him around as much anymore. Plus, he has a lot of other things going on and the Sox aren't as important anymore.
  14. @redsoxstats Will Smith was the focal point of Mookie Betts trade discussions in 2019, but the deal got scuttled when the Red Sox got hot just before the trade deadline. The Will Smith name was initially brought up by Speier and he's not a guy who just throws s*** at the wall.
  15. Also, aside from 2023, Quantrill has been a fairly decent SP. He's not a TOTR guy, but is a decent 3/4. Everyone is excited about Jordan Hicks 46th in fWAR at 0.8 fWAR. Quantrill is right behind him at 0.7 fWAR.
  16. We have no idea what the final offer was, just the names people assumed were discussed.
  17. Never been. Looks like a great stadium.
  18. Teel is having the best May out of the 3. Mayer still has a 462 OPS vs LHP, but has spent more time in AA than the other two. Anthony doesn't have split issues this year, but started off the slowest. There are clear spots for all 3 guys to take over in WOO so that's not a factor. Mayer - end of June Teel - mid July Anthony - late July
  19. He was right about the jerseys too.
  20. Duran CF, Abreu RF, Refsnyder LF, Devers 3B, Wong DH, Cooper 1B, McGuire C, Grissom 2B, Hamilton SS
  21. I'll keep doing it if I have to.
  22. Can't beat good teams. Sell!!!
  23. It's because he was righteous in his anger that day. The tv had what was coming to it.
  24. Similar to how Bill Walton thought you could turn an inning ending double play into a triple play and roll the third out into the next inning. https://awfulannouncing.com/local-networks/the-bill-walton-baseball-experience-begins-with-wanting-a-triple-play-with-1-out-comparing-welington-castillo-to-usain-bolt-and-being-better-at-getting-high.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter He hoped for a triple play when the White Sox had one out in the bottom of the first. When Benetti informed him that’s not possible, Walton asked, “Well you can carry it over (to the next inning), can’t ya?”
