  1. So much for his anti-BOS bias.

  3. 3rd percentile walk rate 10th percentile whiff rate 2nd percentile chase rate 3rd xWOBA 9th Av exit velo 20th k % 28th hard hit % 34th barrel % You ain't got no alibi you ugly!
  4. Yeah, we're all waiting.
  5. Niko's OPS is going the wrong direction the last 15 games or so.
  6. Team would have been so much better with Story's defense at short even if Casas was out with injury. That one simple fix would have made a big difference.
  7. I didn't realize how horrible Troye had been pitching. Seems like Alcantara will never hit. Shame. I never noticed the arrows before. Thank you for pointing them out.
  8. Do they drop Castro or Hickey at all? Bastardo falls? Hoppe? Penrod maybe gets pushed up?
  9. To have him jump to #20 or higher is wild IMO. I want to hear what they think has change with them. Not just blah blah blah isn't linear... Antonio Anderson drops 30?
  10. Pitchers in AAA aren't as good as they are in MLB.
  11. @OverTheMonster Craig Breslow Vows to Pick a Lane at Trade Deadline In each of the past two seasons, the Red Sox approached the trade deadline with records that were more or less right around .500. This led to some confusing moves by former chief Chaim Bloom, who seemed to struggle with the choice to either push for the postseason or build for the future. This year, the Sox will likely again be right around .500, but new chief Craig Breslow hopes to avoid the muddy path that Bloom took, saying that, while they haven’t yet decided on what path they’ll take, the Sox plan to “pick a lane” this time.
  12. Draft: Drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 4th round of the 1981 MLB January Draft-Regular Phase from Miami Dade College (Miami, FL), the Texas Rangers in the 2nd round of the 1981 MLB June Draft-Secondary Phase from Miami Dade College (Miami, FL), the New York Yankees in the 1st round (9th) of the 1982 MLB January Draft-Secondary Phase from Miami Dade College (Miami, FL), the Toronto Blue Jays in the 5th round of the 1982 MLB June Draft-Secondary Phase from Miami Dade College (Miami, FL), the Minnesota Twins in the 1st round (1st) of the 1983 MLB June Draft-Secondary Phase from Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ) and the Texas Rangers in the 1st round (12th) of the 1984 MLB June Amateur Draft from Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ).
  13. @SamDykstraMiLB Matthew Lugo's second Triple-A homer left the bat at 111.2 mph and went 428 feet. That's the second-highest exit velocity on a @WooSox homer this season (Mark Kolozsvary, 112.2). Only Triston Casas (111.9) has hit a homer harder for the #RedSox in 2024.
  14. Breslow spoke on the @BNightengale report about the Red Sox being determined to deal Kenley Jansen: “I don’t actually know where that came from… I would not say anything with certainty right now. We’ve got plenty of baseball left.”
  15. Not sure Chase has hit many balls 100 mph.
  16. Lugo tater on back to back days in AAA.
  17. I would say that the valuation on Perales is light considering how he's pitched this season and that he's now almost a top 50 prospect on BA. If BTV reevaluated, the trade could be an overpay.
  18. s***. I had 27 as the first legit shot at WS contender. Damn. Pass on Crochet rocket.
  19. No, I think the SoxProspects guys have those numbers, but don't disclose them as they are not public. They have mentioned that his exit velo is very low. They've been overly down on him before he even hit AA. I wanted to see him compete at each level before I made a judgement. I think he should be given a shot at MLB at some point, just probably not 2024.
  20. Have Slaten pitch 250 IP. Bernardino is older so you gotta be a little more careful with him, maybe only 225.
  21. They'll take real good care of him. Real good.
  22. I think he could eventually be a UTIL guy. To be a starting player, he'd really need to hit the ball harder.
