  1. It's not that Sogard rides the bench, just that he's a super UTIL guy and that's how he'll be used. It's also his best path to MLB. If he just played SS everyday, he would probably not be really considered for BOS in any capacity. However, if he can play all over the field, he'll be able to find a spot much more easily. Hamilton needs more time at 2B and OF, but his bat just doesn't play. Yorke really doesn't show much at all to me. Not being able to OPS 800 in AA for a bat first guy with mediocre defense at 2B and not enough arm for 3B isn't ideal. If Yorke is moved to a different club, maybe he has a better long term outlook, but IDK. My guess is that Sogard is more likely to carve out a role on this team than Yorke or Hamilton.
  2. The Sox could be fun to watch and still be a last place team. It could be a better team than '22 and '23, but with a worse record.
  3. Just? He'll be 25 this June. He doesn't project as an all star OFer. When he's done with his arb years, he still should be more than affordable. The arb years may be more expensive than the post arb contract.
  4. This isn't going to be a competitive team. Just throw him in AAA and let him mash for now. O'Neilll will get hurt before too long anyway.
  5. O'Neilll was initially penciled in as the RFer. He was pushed to DH as he is still slowly recovering from his ankle injury or whatever. It was the only way to keep Masa, O'Neilll, Rafaela and Duran in the same lineup.
  6. Abreu is also a much lesser prospect. With Rafaela, you don't anticipate using options once he's finally called up. With Abreu, you can see him going back and forth between AAA until the options are used up. No reason to fret about every player's control, just the guys with the greater impact.
  7. With Refsnyder on the IL, no need to put Abreu in AAA.
  8. If they are planning on sitting Rafaela at all, there's no way he starts the season in BOS. I wouldn't have him on the roster unless he's the fulltime CFer. I'm comfortable with Abreu as the 4th OFer.
  9. Tor 96 - 66 bal 95 - 67 tbr 89 - 73 nyy 88 - 74 bos 75 - 87
  10. Platoon of O'Neilll/Abreu and O'Neilll is the weakside of the platoon so gets less AB's? Maybe that's how it's forecasted? IDK.
  11. No, only Sontaran hot dogs.

Bieber, Bibee, McKenzie, Allen, Williams/Carrasco vs Bello, Pivetta, Crawford, Houck, Whitlock/Criswell/Winckowski
  13. It's a dessert, so they are free to run wild.

  15. Now to replace Fenway Franks with Dodger Dogs and they will finally have some good food options!
  16. It's nice that they have the options to do that.
  17. They had to cover the cost of switching back to Heinz ketchup somehow.
  18. I heard 215, so enough to still do a Casas extension under this CBT and not fork out any cash this year.
  19. Don’t forget the joker. - Lemmy
  20. The third best pitcher from the Baystars? Sox need another 5th starter?
  21. I was forecasting who would make the roster.
  22. He has an opt out.
  23. 756 split vs LHP. "If Refsnyder is coming back sooner than later, why bring anyone in" is probably their thought process.
  24. Cron - 1B/DH Dalbech - 1B/3B/SS/2B/RF - Brock Holt role
