  1. If you never balance the weight you are carrying, you're liable to wrench your back or spine. Very important to maintain proper load when carrying in the groceries, fellas.
  2. If I had to choose between the two, I'd take Drury.
  3. I'd take him on a waiver claim for sure.
  4. I hope they can just rest him and go easy on him this year. He's never thrown over 90 innings in a season and has a long injury history.
  5. Murphy had UCL surgery. I wouldn't want him carrying anyone's bags for a long time.
  6. Fulmer is on a minor league deal. Not sure how he even compares with the first two? Sign me up for 5 guys like Fulmer every year on minor league deals.
  7. I don't think that sounds good at all.
  8. I was making a John Henry reference.
  9. WOBA 215 XWOBA 299 BABIP 207 I think there's a bit of bad luck there and we've seen him turn it on in the past. It's just for the rest of the year and it's why I said "buy low."
  10. You just have unrealistic expectations for this starting rotation, moon.
  11. There's a lot of talk about his swing and it's very "loose" to me. It's a little all over the place. It's not a nice smooth swing like you see out of some players. I can see how he might get out of whack. He kind of muscles the ball the way Pence used to using his whole body. Almost out of control. If that's what works for him, great. I'm glad the Sox aren't tinkering with him in a bad way.
  12. IDK, I don't like wild swings in the rankings unless there's something really wrong with the player. Either he was extremely overrated before or he would be dumped on for a few bad months. We saw something similar with Lugo last season to now. I'd rather the ups and downs not be so dramatic, unless we really are a "hot or not" rankings system.
  13. SoxProspects noted that he really struggles with the changeup and had a 200 OPS against it so far.
  14. Duran is 8th in MLB bWAR Devers is 7th in MLB OPS, 10th offensive win % Houck is 4th in MLB bWAR for pitchers, 2nd ERA, 3rd WHIP, 3rd IP, 2nd ERA+
  15. He got the brace procedure and will be throwing in ST. I think it should be managed bullpen innings going forward like 2021.
  16. Giolito, Hendriks and Murphy? Not sure how you include Murphy with the other two.
  17. That's what happens with pitching prospects these days.
  18. They are players that aren't performing NOW and are overpaid NOW which will limit the amount of spending this team can do NOW. It's one thing to give a player a raise if they are actually productive on the field. They are not being paid what they would earn on the open market. Bello blows up once a game and acts like a brat.
  19. They shouldn't have given him this much money as it's clearly an overpayment if he has to earn it with production that we are projecting on him years from now. Why give a player an extension if it's not a deal for the team? They gave him #2 extension money. He's not that right now.
  20. I reach out to the Jays and see what they would want for Bassitt. He's only under control through next season unlike Gausman, so a short term guy that's not going to help a rebuilding squad. Kick the tires on a Luis Robert deal. See if LAA will sell low on Drury for the year.
  21. None of the above.
  22. Hamilton is well below average on every Statcast metric except chase rate. Since 4/25: 862 OPS 397 BABIP (career 306 MiLB BABIP)
  23. His defense is real s*** that's for sure.
  24. They will try to sell us on: Tanner Gio Kutter Bello Fitts
