  1. Aside from the risk of losing the DH at some point in the game, what's bad about it? It's also just another option to get a bat in the lineup, not a requirement.
  2. It'll be interesting to see how Teel is worked in next season.
  3. The worst road to take, Bloom would find it.
  4. I don't hear that at all. He's saying that he needs to pick a lane either in or out. I don't hear him saying he's out.
  5. That site is for people that sniff their own farts. Pass. Interesting that those same posters you reference were intrigued by the Cooper Criswell signing unlike other that complained about it when it happened.
  6. Adequate for what? For a bench spot? Sure. For a starting spot? Depends on how he plays going forward. He's been in a little bit of a funk lately and that may continue. His OPS was really driven by a power surge that I don't think he can carry for very long.
  7. The under the hood stuff just isn't very promising. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/david-hamilton-666152?stats=statcast-r-hitting-mlb Since June 14th, his OPS is only 529. He's most likely a bench guy if that. He had a nice little hot streak and needs more of those to stick around.
  8. Defensive whiz Bobby Dalbec won the Sox MiLB defensive player of the year award in 2018 when he had 20 errors at 3B. The following year they started the transition to 1B.
  9. He's so good that they keep moving him to LF. The minor league defensive awards are meaningless. Hamilton won an award last year. Devers won an award when he was with the Sox.
  10. It'll be a 4 or 5 most likely.
  11. Move the mound back.
  12. I guess people believe his career high 400 BABIP is going to continue?
  13. He was not good for 2 straight years and continued to not be good in AA this year. He's only been good for 27 games. He's season OPS is only 804.
  14. Yes sir!
  15. He's worse on D than Romy and DHam.
  16. And what to do if he struggles and we witness his bad defense?
  17. If you have a guy with a monster bat, it's not an issue at all. Just needs to be a middle of the order guy.
  18. Big Papi and Ohtani hit the piss out of the ball, Masa does not. Seems pretty explanatory to me.
  19. They tried 1B. He's short and also not good at 1B.
  20. Add him in the winter.
  21. What I'm saying is that this depth today for the near future is better than they have had in recent memory.
  22. Torgo's family and friends would get together and watch it from time to time. Aside from that, I doubt anyone else would.
  23. In the latest SP update, Dalvinson Reyes debuted at #43. He received a 450K bonus (largest pitching bonus this year). 16 IP 0.00 ERA 0.62 WHIP 17 K 2 BB A guy we may want to start keeping an eye on. Yes, DSL numbers don't mean all that much.
  24. Mayer Story Hamilton Valdez Grissom Campbell Yorke Meidroth Paulino I've seen much worse depth in recent years from the Sox up the middle. They are getting there and two of these bums should work out.
  25. Ole mister silk hands he was. Manos de seda. I'd take Manos: the Hands of Fate over Mario Mendoza TBH.
