  1. And what will certainly please the olds: @ChrisCotillo It has not been a smooth first impression for Vaughn Grissom in Boston so far. “I just want to play my game. If they like it, they like it. If they don’t, f*** it,” he said. “I’m here for a reason. I’m sure there’s a next guy up if they don’t like it." Grissom on his season: “It’s tough. But it could be worse. You have to trust the process. Everybody has their (bad) year. This is mine. In a way, it’s nice to get it out of the way, but it sucks. Not a lot of guys go through this game and don’t get hurt."
  2. Wingenter can go to AAA. They acquired him because he needed to be added to a 40 man, not an active roster.
  3. Regardless, Iggy was never in the org with Moncada and Guerra was still in the DSL at the time. Calling them "depth" together is awkward as hell.
  4. Iglesias - traded 2013 Moncada - signed 2015, traded 2016 Chavis - wasn't even out of A ball at the end of 2016 I'd take the list I put in as I only included guys in AA and above and they are actually close to being ready at the same time and in the organization at the same time. Tzu-Wei Lin wasn't even a realistic prospect until 2017 when Ben was long gone.
  5. 747 vs RHP 648 vs LHP By the end of the year, the MLB career reverse split will be gone if he keeps his current pace.
  6. You said "continues with his reverse splits" but this year he has normal splits. 22 AAA: 967 vs LHP 798 vs RHP I don't see him as a reverse split guy. At the very least, he's a guy you don't need to worry about platooning.
  7. Are we considering Jose Iglesias prospect era to be recent???????????????????????
  8. Wingenter and Smith is designated as two way.
  9. Houck vs Medina Medina: RHP, 1.54 WHIP, k% in bottom 10th percentile, good slider, a lot of hard contact, a lot of walks. Houck's last two starts weren't great. Has an opportunity to turn it around.
  10. Can Casas be a shutdown reliever like Smith? I don't think so.
  11. He changed his name this offseason due to the buildsubmarines.com partnership.
  12. 2019 881 OPS 2020 993 OPS Since 5/31 797 OPS for ya boy Dom
  13. He's had a roller coaster career. It's not that shocking for him to throw out a dud here and there.
  14. He seems to be a definite add now even if he slows down.
  15. May as well put Valdez out there.
  16. This is a lie.
  17. Never.
  18. O'Neilll RF Ref LF Canha DH Drury 2B
  19. Huh? vs LHP: 921 OPS vs RHP: 746 OPS
  20. Sam can go straight to the wall when the revolution comes.
  21. Good news: Mayer, Teel and Anthony are all LHB.
  22. Mixed messages from his 3 bosses AND the 10 EVP's? NO!
  23. Started slow in 23. Started slow in 24. I think we have an idea.
  24. @itsbrianbarrett 8 strikeouts for Sears last night Sox v. Lefties 29% strikeout rate Seattle is 29th at 26.3% Raffy is at 35.3% - 163rd of 166 qualifiers Just .238/.302/.400/.702 v. Lefties V righties .321/.415/.689/1.104 O’Neill has a 1.123 ops v. Lefties - 2nd to Aaron Judge Refsnyder has a .434 OBP - 10th Wong has a .427 OBP - 12th Duran is hitting just .250 with a .633 OPS (131st) * They need another right handed bat Maybe RHB should be a higher priority?
  25. Priority is starting pitching. Second priority for me would be a fielding SS (RHB preferable). Third would be a bullpen arm. However, Casas is still not taking live BP. We don't really know his timetable. Do they need to add a RHB for 1B too just in case?
