Hudson had a better away split than home (610 Away/1006 Home). Gomber is the reverse. His metrics were even worse than Gomber's though. Wonder what Hudson would look like as just a sinker/slider/curve guy though? Three pitches all at different velo with different movement.

Gomber also has been a better pitcher at Coors than away (245 BABIP). His number 1 pitch is the 4 seamer (41%), but it has a negative run value. If he had a secondary pitch like a cutter or splitter, he could be an option, but not a very good one. I don't see it with him.

Twins fans seem to hate the deal, so maybe it's fair? I just think they don't need to add another LHB at 2B.

Adding another LHB at 2B? Sox probably don't make that trade IMO. Looks like he has a swing that would like the Monster though.

I don't think anyone wins the job outright. Too many names involved for someone to get the vast majority of reps. I think we see a timeshare going forward until someone outlasts everyone else. I'd personally put Story at 2B and Mayer at SS on Opening Day. Story is bound to get injured and any of those guys can fill in afterwards.

This isn't true. If a pitcher has a FB that isn't great (Bello), they'll scrap it. If a pitcher has a plus FB, they'll keep it.

Noah Dean was drafted out of college and is working on his second straight full year in Salem. Must have a high ceiling! For reference, Early and Mullins were drafted out of college last year and started at Greenville this year. Must not be as good as Dean though?

He's having a fine year, but his numbers should be way better. After they moved the fences in, I thought some of those Jays would have put crazy numbers up. Very weird. I was always down on the coaching up there, but after winning the offseason a few times and even a trade deadline or two, the Jays are f***ing dead.

It's quite the expanded definition of dumpster diving if you are including those guys though. Was Wacha a dumpster dive that year at 6.5 AAV? Lorenzen at 8.5? Rich Hill at 8? Clevinger at 1/12?
