  1. Before this weekend, I wasn't ready for this thread. I think I'm there now. The pitching needs a massive overhaul. Pivetta is out and Giolito will be in. What other changes could we expect? Bello - ceiling of midrotation guy Houck - I'm not a big believer in him, but he's another midrotation that can have great stretches Crawford - backend starter Giolito - innings eater Criswell - backend starter Whitlock - meant for the pen Priester/Fitts - prospect question marks I think they'd be better off adding two more starters via FA and dealing Crawford or Houck. Houck has decent trade value so they could get something interesting in return. FA/FA/Gio/Bello/Crawford with Criswell and Whitlock in the pen. Criswell could be a swing guy that pitches bulk innings. I'd never have Whitlock throw more than 2 innings in a row again. This helps both the rotation AND the bullpen that ran out of juice at the end of the year.
  2. Said that he SHOULD have a normal offseason though. Yorke had back issues at one point then stopped having them recently. Maybe just a blip?
  3. The darkest timeline. The vibes trended downhill when they let Dom go. W/L: 4-5 37 RS, 49 RA
  4. That doesn't sound right? That doesn't sound right at all! If the MLB content at Bluesky was more robust, I'd post skeets instead of tweets, but here we are... We will not be discussing Threads.
  5. He may have lost the game, but at least Houck won the Stuff+ war! 😎
  6. I'm sure I will make good use of it! I have been called out for my Twitter copy/paste from time to time.
  7. Game Thread already looks like a major upgrade TBH. We'll have to see if the Sox can compete with the new TalkSox. Pivetta last 5: 7.50 ERA, 7.04 FIP, 10 HR, 24 IP Yuck!
  8. Fitting for the old version of the board to end like this. RIP
  9. Not sure Early’s stuff plays up out of the pen. He’s a backend starter if things break right. Paez has the starter’s arsenal, but low velo. Scouts are coming around on him, but I want to see him do it at higher levels.
  10. Red Sox are great on Sundays. This one is already in the win column.
  11. When was the 162 offered? Who reported it?
  12. You should see your doctor about that.
  13. He was the manager for 9 years and had no real success. The firing seems fine. The Angels have no clue. MLB needs dumb franchises like that.
  14. You added a colon followed by an end parentheses. VPs:)
  15. Well that is kinda rude.
  16. Sonoran dog seem like they should be better? IDK.
  17. What the hell? This can’t be true…
  18. It could always be worse. @JeffFletcherOCR Sources; the Angels have reached an agreement on an extension for GM Perry Minasian.
  19. They have 81 games away from Fenway Park to win too. The only change that you could make is put Rafaela in RF leave Duran in CF. Sprint Speed: Duran 29.5, 10th for CFers Rafaela 28.8, 21st for CFers
  20. Priester had 15 whiffs in the first 3 innings today: https://x.com/redsoxstats/status/1826669970333618231
  21. They have a "surplus" of pitching and a lack of offense. Seems easier to grab offensive guys in FA IMO. The problem is that their stadium isn't conducive to putting up offensive stats and wouldn't be a deterrence in enticing short term position players.
  22. @brendan_camp #RedSox to promote pitching prospect Hunter Dobbins to Triple-A Worcester LOL Drohan to the IL.
  23. I don't now if the Red Sox see it as an issue. Devers and Casas don't have issues with splits. Anthony and Teel have been good in MiLB. Duran, Hamilton, Abreu, Yoshida and Mayer have had their issues. Masa was good last year. Duran has been a little bit better than he was in the past. Abreu has a big split and they really avoid playing him against LHP. Mayer may get better, but split issues have been more of a concern as he's progressed in the minors.
  24. He's actually a decent SS. Moving him to 1B would be wild at this point.
