  1. I'm not sure a bad 6 game stretch is hitting the wall. It's not like the rest of the offense was raking over the past 6 games either.
  2. Jacoby "made of glass" Ellsbury circa 2010. We love these discussions.
  3. I've heard that gag before!
  4. https://www.milb.com/gameday/dsl-angels-vs-dsl-red-sox-red/2024/08/29/774757/final/box DSL Red wins 3-1 in DSL Finals Game 1. 😎🌴⚾💪
  5. When Penrod is on, it's fun to watch.
  6. The Rangers at 62-71!
  7. For sure. If I was relatively near .500 and had hopes for next year, I'd consider claiming him.
  8. No, approx 3M this year (whatever is remaining) and full 12M next year.
  9. Maybe that was McGuire?
  10. After being DFA'd, Joely has elected FA. I believe he did this before, tested FA and then signed with WOO?
  11. Taylor Rogers was put on waivers by the Giants to save 12M. Any chance the Sox go for him? Good hard hit%, good LHP reliever. Maybe the only issue is cost?
  12. Trevor Story has more HR in less games in the past 3 seasons than Kris Bryant.
  13. If that's the case, I'd rather hold onto him. Good glove, RHB. More upside to keeping him. I don't see much trade value.
  14. I think prime Red Sox contention era was 1998 - 2022. That's Pedro trade through Xander leaving. I will not dox my age at how much of my life that is. Not as much as it used to be!
  15. How much salary do they have to eat? If none, then who cares? I just don't see there being many suitors for him at this point. Not only is he injury prone, but his offense ain't what it used to be. There are lots of questions up the middle and two of the potential answers have a track record of injuries. Hard to rely on either one of them right now. Most likely, Story will be here in 2025.
  16. Why? Who will play SS when he's on the IL?
  17. If his swing decisions are comparable to Meidroth (SSS), he's leapfrogged Mayer IMO.
  18. Since the ASB: 8.13 ERA, 7.92 FIP, 0 QS His 2 starts have been his best though: 10.1 IP, 5 ER. Only 2 HR in the past 4 GS. Maybe there's some light at the end of the tunnel for Kutter?
  19. He's unable to. Whenever the Sox have stressed that he has had to take walks, his OPS has gone down. He just becomes more passive at the plate and gets into worse counts. This goes back to AA at least.
  20. I get it. I'm not saying ignore it.
  21. I'm not even sure I can think of a guy I'd make the trade for. I'm also not sure Henry has the wherewithal to extend whoever is traded for anyway. Hard to trust FO/ownership right now.
  22. A young two year stud for Anthony 3 mediocre guys on the 40 man. If I'm the other GM, I'm hanging up.
  23. I really love this slippery slope we're going down with this conversation. Relitigating allegations from years ago that are second, third and fourth hand probably may not go well for this board. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe you'll crack the case wide open. Clemens: known jerk and possible creep Rehabilitation likelihood: not likely at this time
  24. I'm ok with him hitting 700 and playing CF.
  25. DHam also deserved an E last night rather than Bello getting a 2nd H. The MIF options have left a lot to be desired. It's the only reason Rafaela looks so good so good so good.
