  1. Not enough space on the roster to platoon everyone unfortunately.
  2. Which previous year? There have always been IFA's posted in the 30-50 range before they've appeared in games. See my post above.
  3. Hey, there's a long history of fine TalkSox accountants. Truly the sweet science!
  4. To have Hyeseong and Ha-Seong would be too much even for them.
  5. All of the other owners are more rich than ever and none of them wanted Kirby Yates before 1/21. Hard to be upset at the Dodgers right now when our owner is pinching pennies while raking fans over the coals.
  6. Their IF is kinda light... Why not Bregman?
  7. Hats off to the Dodgers. It just shows how greedy the Sox ownership really is.
  8. If they can get him for 3 years and overpay the AAV and have him play 3b, I'm down with the signing. I just don't want him in '28 and '29.
  9. Romy's 879/498 split! Never have him hit against RHP again!
  10. You win some, you lose some. 35.5 bWAR in those 4 years, but probably needed a job in the offseason to pay rent. I want to hear the groaning for Red Sox Nation when Cora announces that Kutter is going to start 49 games this year.
  11. He'll be good for the first year or two and decent for year 3. The last two years of the deal would be brutal. I don't see the Sox being legit contenders in the next two years so don't see a reason to sign a guy that will be trending in the wrong direction. He had a -2 RV on 4 seamers and a -1 on sinkers. Once a guy begins to no longer hit pitches with velo, it's the beginning of the end. He doesn't have a flyball swing and would have a lot of his balls not reach the stands in Fenway (210 career HR, 169 expected at Fenway).
  12. In the recent 310 to Left podcast, both Breslow and Crochet were both noncommittal to getting a deal done prior to Spring Training. Crochet stated that he saw this as a place he wanted to be long term and that he was excited to be here, though he wasn't a "baseball fan" growing up and has a lot of learning left to do about the franchise. It was interesting that Tom Caron asked him about getting the chance to learn from Pedro Martinez and what his experience has been working with retired guys before and his answer was "I haven't had that chance." White Sox must not really be a good organization all around.
  13. I mean, I already listed where all the IFA guys are ranked for them. 🫠
  14. Their rankings aren't based on pure ceiling though, it's where the player stands today. Right now, Soto hasn't even taken a professional AB. Lots of heralded guys come in and don't perform as expected. When I do my rankings it's based on my personal trade value. I wouldn't trade player 1 for player 2 or player 2 for player 3 or player 3 for player 4, etc.
  15. 🤝
  16. I know where SP ranked them, I was talking about moon's ranking.
  17. There's too many relievers available to figure out who it will be. It's going to be an underwhelming acquisition, that's for sure.
  18. Blue Jays can pack on lots of offseason talent and still end up underperforming year after year.
  19. I don't think they are tanking, but I think they aren't really trying for a playoff spot. Is that punting? They aren't going for last place, but a respectable 3rd.
  20. I think the Sox would have loved to sign Scott to a 2 year deal, just not a 4 year deal. I don't know if they'll sign any reliever under Breslow for 4 years.
  21. Just wait, they'll sneak up on you this year!
  22. It's what happens when you trade a guy with options a year ahead of the Rule 5 draft. He's been gone since 2017! He's bounced around a little, but has found success in HOU.
  23. Santander just signed with the Jays for 5/90.
