  1. There's a chance Fulmer is NOT protected depending on how his health is looking. Sox would know more info on that that people outside the org. Monegro would not be a great fit for a pen role and would probably get walloped in MLB. I'm leaning towards him not being protected. I think Dobbins is for sure protected. I'm not sure about Garcia. He may be a year away. Maybe a team wants to stash him? He didn't really set the world on fire in AA.
  2. Fernandez looked pretty good in the STL pen.
  3. I think that paradigm is why his limited to a 725 ceiling. If he knew how to take a walk, he'd be a 775 hitter. He's just never going to get there. He just needs to learn to not swing at pitches 2' outside the zone.
  4. Overall, it ended up short. He had a hot stretch that was above expectations, but it was a very JBJesque season of cold start, hot streak, cold finish when you think about it.
  5. Do you think they’d trade Gunnar, Adley or those guys? I don’t. Sox have prospects they’d be willing to deal that the O’s couldn’t match most likely.
  6. 700 is probably the minimum here. I can’t call myself from months and months ago so I don’t know for sure.
  7. Orioles have a low payroll because they stunk for years and years and got high draft picks out of it and are reaping the rewards of a stocked system.
  8. Year in and year out, Yankees are in playoff contention because of their payroll. Sox end up at .500 or last damn place.
  9. 700 would be acceptable. 725 would be good. 750 would be great. Under 675 is potentially unplayable.
  10. His offense fell off a little more than I expected. I thought he’d be around 700 OPS.
  11. Tropicana Field no longer has a roof.
  12. Roman Anthony Number 1 prospect in baseball.Kristian Campbell I had him ranked #2 last time and many places named him MiLB player of the year. I'm leaving him here. Marcelo Mayer Same ranking as last time. Still concerned about health.Kyle Teel Same ranking as last time. Could be on Opening Day roster in 2025.Braden Montgomery Many believe he could be a fast riser next year in the top 100 and that he has a very high ceiling. I haven't seen him so can't comment. Same ranking as last time.Luis Perales Same ranking as last time. Should be back next August.Franklin Arias Same ranking as last time. Just didn't hit in A ball when he got there. FCL scouts were impressed, but A ball scouts were not.Miguel Bleis Same ranking. Needs to perform on the field. Could fall next year IMO.Yoeilin Cespedes Same ranking. Unsure of future position. If his frame maxed out, how much more can he develop as a player? Richard Fitts My first changed ranking. Fitts handled himself really well in BOS. Seems MLB capable. Will he be a starter in BOS? Chase Meidroth He struggled at the end of the year due to injury and was limited to DH appearances. Seem to have an MLB skillset at least as a part time player.Mikey Romero Can adequately field 2B/SS. Improved power projection. Only questions seems to be injury history. Otherwise, I have an up arrow on him.Jhostynxon Garcia Hit a big wall at AA and wasn't quite able to push through. Next season will be a big test. I had him at 11 last time around. Johanfran Garcia No change from last ranking.David Sandlin No change from last ranking. The most electric stuff of the remaining pitchers listed.Yordanny Monegro No change from last time. If he develops a better FB (2 seamer?), he'd climb a lot higher in most rankings. The worry is that he's going to struggle as he faces more advanced hitters.Payton Tolle Another guy we haven't seen yet. Could end up being the best pitcher in the system. Hunter Dobbins I had him at 20 last time, but he pitched well after being promoted to AAA. Is a depth option for 2025. Juan Valera Same ranking as last time. He has a long way to go. May end up being a reliever as he hasn't figured out a 3rd pitch.Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz His velo has ticked up, but the FB is Calvin Schiraldi straight. Probably a guy who goes back and forth between the pen and the rotation like Alfredo Aceves.
  13. I’m just saying that I’m not sure he is now, not that he’ll never be one. He can always change my mind.
  14. I’m not sure Rafaela is an everyday player. Should Duran just be the CF for the next 4 years?
  15. Sox don’t get enough kickback from jersey sales to do that deal.
  16. Well Trout wouldn’t be in anyone’s way considering all the IL time he needs.
  17. Maybe what’s best for business is the Yanks to win a few and Henry to continue to look like a dope.
  18. He spent, but “that’s history pal,” as Eck once said. Until he spends again, we’re stuck at .500.
  19. We are stuck in mediocrity because of Henry’s worldview. He wants to win while being cheap which would show how smart he is. In the meantime, we get .500 baseball. Fun!
  20. JH would not pay, therefore we would not match LAD.
  21. He's right between Jim Palmer and Don Drysdale per Jay Jaffe's JAWS calculation at 44th of all time. He's more than deserving.
  22. He's not garbage, he's just mediocre and the Sox seem to have better options going forward.
