    Cheng isn't getting in the way of Arias. Once they are comfortable with Arias's progress, he's going to WOO and getting 100% of the SS reps. Probably by the end of June. Mookie was promoted to PAW on June 3 (OPSing 994). If he's still absolutely raking like a monster, he'll get a very early promotion. Mookie was up and down from there, but was still OPSing around 900 in AAA (the number where you are really knocking the door down for a promotion to MLB IMO). Yeah, that 900 OPS is really the sweet spot for an MLB prospect promotion to me. Anthony got there. Mayer didn't.

    He's played zero games in IF this year. Hard to see him getting put there tonight as they already have a few guys that can already play decent defense there. I think he's just still listed as 2b on MiLB's site so it has his defensive position put there for the preview.

    Crochet, Suarez and bunch of young guys in the rotation? It's a high ceiling, but a very low floor. You keep saying "you need balls" but you also need brains. I think you can find a way to get Contreras, Bregman and Marte on this roster, but it doesn't end up looking the way yours does.

    The aren't going over the 3rd luxury tax. Also, there is a best by date for Marte/Contreras/Story/Bregman. That team could fall apart very quickly. Nobody was projecting Arias to be on the roster prior to the season starting. 49M sitting at DH?

    It's not the weather, it's the SSS with this team. They need some regression.

    This team used to be a top 3 payroll year in and year out. Bickering if they are 6th or 12th is silly. They have taken a step back while other ownerships have taken a step forward. I'll keep judging them on playoff appearances. Now they can't even field a team to make expanded playoffs. 2003-2019 5 of 17 years missed playoffs (under expanded rules) 2020-2025 4 of 6 years missed playoffs (under expanded rules) So what changed???

    Runs wRC+ wOBA OPS I think they may not get top 15 in HR or SLG. We'll see though.

    Contreras isn't a C anymore. He's a 1b and good at it.

    3 out of 4 starts for Bello have been pretty bad so far. I don't know what's going on with him. He's dialed back his sweeper usage and increased his cutter and sinker. The sinker used to be his best pitch, but it looks like he's leaving it up and it's getting rocked. Lots of hard contact. Velo seems down across the board too.

    That's what I've suggested elsewhere on here. I can hold my nose a little less if Rafaela is hitting the way he is while playing 2b then his value doesn't fully crash out. I'd lean towards DFA'ing IKF and just putting Durbin on the bench rather than demoting him. IKF has been pretty horrible and is only on a year contract.

    Even if they added a FA that is currently struggling, there'd be hope that his bat would turn around soon. Right now, the path forward is a little murky. They can do it, but it's still a low ceiling.
