  1. I don't think Early is untouchable. He's ceiling is 4th starter unless he makes some crazy jump. Tolle's ceiling is higher due to the velo. If you're bringing and ace back, you can deal a guy like Early.
  2. Garcia starting on Opening Day isn't an ideal lineup. If they trade Campbell, Duran AND Wilyer, they have to target a FA. Garcia's hit tool isn't quite ready for primetime as we saw in his small sample this summer. He could be ready later in '26, but not Opening Day.
  3. Batting run value: 48th percentile His swing profile would produce less than 20 HR's at Fenway per Statcast. That's why I didn't mention him previously. His x metrics have looked strong, but he underperformed them last season and his numbers have been about the same since 2021. He sprays the ball around, but his EV is only 59th percentile and he's slooooow. Because a lot of his swings go up the middle and he has more warning track power, he's getting less and less HR's. In Boston, he'd at best be a 20 HR, 740 OPS DH. That's a lower OPS than Masa had 23-24.
  4. Add John Heyman to the list. 3-1. We are legion.
  5. That's just 20 year old brain rot at this point.
  6. I have a lot of experience with the 04 soundtrack, so I'll disagree. 1. He's fat and he don't run too fast... but he's faster than me... 2. On another day c'mon c'mon... 3. Please oh please yeah da da da da da yeah! 4. Here I am with out a dollar to my name will you take me as I am? I'm holding on 5. It's always bittersweet 6. And everything you think is right is really wrong it's really wrong oh it's really wrong
  7. Cora is obsessed with Duran posting every game. I just don't think he should be a 162 guy. There were so many days that he just looked tired or overmatched. He even said that it's hard for him to keep his weight on during the season, so he must feel rundown.
  8. Yoshida NPB OPS 960, 135 HR, 307 K, 3251 PA Murakami NPB OPS 951, 246 HR, 977 K, 3780 PA
  9. My dream unrealistic lineup for 2026: C - Carlos Narvaez 1B - Mo Vaughn (BOS era only) 2B - Marcelo Mayer SS - Mookie Betts 3B - Bill Mueller (2003) RF - Roman Anthony CF - Ceddanne Rafaela LF - Jon Dowd from MVP 04 DH - David Ortiz the 2013 Playoffs Version
  10. Reds were 25th in hitting fWAR and 3rd in pitching fWAR. Trade high on a player where you are strong for where you have need? Would they do it? IDK. It's suggested by Sports Illustrated in 2025 so probably not.
  11. He wasn't ready in '23 and wasn't ready in '25 after seemingly being fine in the offseason.
  12. Duran gets a bump for playing so much and being towards the top of the lineup (687 PA's). No comment about the defensive metrics.
  13. There's no rumor, just an article written by someone at Sports Illustrated, the place where 50% or more of the stuff is now AI generated. 🫡
  14. I wasn't saying YOU, I meant SoxProspects TBH. Some times that get out in front of their skis.
  15. He also didn't pitch all that great in his first AFL start. It's fun to get excited. You need to be reasonable sometimes though.
  16. Even Bello is almost a lock to not be ready for Opening Day TBH (only made it in '24). Crawford, Sandoval AND Dobbins are all coming back from injury. One of those guys will surely have a hiccup. They could sign a FA and still need Early as a 5th starter.
  17. They weren't advocating him starting though!
  18. Deal some of the Rule 5 guys or 40 man guys for prospects that could pop like Cam Booser for Yhoiker Fajardo.
  19. There's a difference between "dud" and "impact starter" and "reliever." There has always been a question of if he's a late inning relief guy. The SP guys have said this for years.
  20. Yes, that's my most boomer baseball opinion. I want my team to play smart baseball.
  21. The defensive lapses are very frustrating. It definitely makes me side eye the metrics sometimes. Jazz and Duran have great metrics, but I wouldn't want them together on my team TBH. They'd drive me crazy.
