    Was it just me, or was the k zone not on the screen at the start of the game? Also, the new score bug is awful. Really big and still hard to read for certain things like velo/pitch type.

    Good game. Crochet didn't look dominant at times, but I guess that will come with the territory if he's trying to pitch more to contact. Sox had ample opportunity to score before the 9th. They just couldn't plate many runs. We'll see if that's an ongoing theme. Defense seemed fine except for the weird hop that ate up Durbin.

    I agree with moon's thoughts on how Cora shapes the lineup. I would go: Duran Durbin Anthony Contreras Abreu Story Mayer Narvaez Rafaela I know putting Anthony 3rd isn't ideal, but I like the idea of rolling the lineup over and having three speed guys in a row: Rafaela/Duran/Durbin before you get to Anthony and Contreras.

    Where? Willson Contreras was 23rd in wRC+ vs LHP last season. He's fine enough to replace Breggie's production. I think the Sox believe Roman can replace Devers's production overall. Nobody knows if Romy will come back at all this season. Sox didn't expect that he'd be out with an injury. Refsnyder? Maybe they are hoping KC will step up? Who knows...

    For a guy who has never pitched above A ball, it'll be interesting to see how they use him. He pitched well except for one outing in ST.

    It's ok to be high on a guy. It's also ok if Early is JUST a #3 starter, because that's higher than SP had him projected going into last season. If he sticks as an MLB back end guy, it's fine too.

    They intentionally played poor hitting Rafaela out of position when they couldn't figure out 2b. If they have KC mashing in AAA, they'll make room. At the very least, they'll give him a parttime shot.

    Hard hit rates aren't meaningless IMO. The rate at which balls fall in during ST may be.
