  1. Just google Pablo Sandoval weight and do an image search. There are a few skinny Pablo images and many on the beefier end of things as well.
  2. His weight fluctuated a lot when he was in SF. Here, it's just stayed at fat.
  3. I think the fans and media gave him the benefit of the doubt in 2015 when he showed up a fatty fatty fat fat. After being the worst FT 3b in MLB in 2015 AND Farrell stating that he looked great in the offseason left a lot of people disappointed in what they saw come Spring Training time.
  4. I want him to be an amazing 4th OF who gets enough value back that we can dump him on somebody else.
  5. It worked out ok sometimes, not always. It didn't work out in 2015. His OPS has decreased every year since 2011. I think that's partially due to him getting older and carrying all of that weight. From Baseball Ref: Height: 5' 11", Weight: 255 lb.
  6. I try not to get bothered by any of it. The vast majority of guys don't always suck.
  7. That's very unrealistic, imo. Not being able to critique someone if you don't know them personally. Example: Pablo came into camp last year out of shape. There is no question about it. Is it wrong for someone to think Pablo is probably lazy and doesn't care enough to be physically fit? If he was a truck driver, no one would care about his eating habits. However, as a professional who is paid by fanatics like us (NESN viewership, merch, tickets, etc.), showing up extremely out of shape is almost a slap in the face to some fans. If he doesn't show up at his best, why should they give him the benefit of the doubt because they don't know him personally?
  8. I'm just trying to slowly creep to the next pokestop. Go around me.
  9. Everyone has knee-jerk reactions to whatever they have just seen whether it's on the field performance or a calculation made by fangraphs. It's human nature to get annoyed by small sample sized things. If I hit 5 straight lights going to work, I'll probably get frustrated and have a knee-jerk reaction.
  10. Romo closed out a World Series and has 84 career saves. Joe Smith was the 8th inning guy for the Angels last year and he filled in well when Street was out. Paplebon's attitude is worse than his arm.
  11. People are allowed to have whatever opinion they think to be true. It's unfair to expect everyone else to look at something the exact same way you do.
  12. Again, you can't sign everyone. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017-mlb-free-agent-tracker/positions-rp There are still a few guys with closing experience available (Holland, Papelbon, Joe Smith, Sergio Romo) that could be better than Storen.
  13. Drew Storen is ok, but I'm not sure the upside is there. He's a guy you get to fill out your bullpen and I'm not sure he's better than what we have now. You can't sign everyone.
  14. inappropriate!
  15. If he looks good in ST, you keep him and cross your fingers and toes.
  16. It never works out that way, unfortunately.
  17. Bertrand, LOL...
  18. But you can say "he has sucked so far." You just can't say he'll always suck.
  19. 55 games in 2014 is a larger sample size than 57 in 2016. Now that's some fuzzy math.
  20. You can make definitive judgements on past performance as that book is closed. If a guy goes 0-25 in the World Series, you can't say "well we don't definitively know how his WS was." Yes, we do. It sucked.
  21. I made a definitive judgement about his 2016 performance. It was not very good. I didn't make any judgements about his future performance aside from saying he needs to be better. His defense wasn't great. Plain and simple. I provided statstical analysis to back up my feelings.
  22. Is Kimbrel's wildness because of Leon's difficulty catching the heat or is Leon's difficulty catching the heat due to Kimbrel's wildness?
  23. SP depth should always be a concern. I hope Owens can be a little more reliable this year.
  24. Sure he has the upside, but he needs to show it for it to be real.
