  1. Hi-Ho Silva must not have been available!
  2. Every scout has said that Moncada is severely hampered when he hits right handed. His swing is vastly different and the results aren't there. It has nothing to do with sample size.
  3. Did you get to see him hit right handed? His OPS right handed is about 200 points lower than left handed. It's ugly. If he continues to switch hit, he'll be behind Beni by a lot.
  4. Remy has looked better recently, because we've seen too much of Steve Lyons.
  5. Not a Devers fan?
  6. For those scoring at home, Beni will now be wearing #16 this year. Previous 16's: Johnny Lucas 1931 Gene Rye 1931 Howie Storie 1931 Johnny Lucas 1932 Jud McLaughlin 1932 Gordon McNaughton 1932 Ivy Andrews 1933 Hank Johnson 1934-35 Jack Wilson 1935 Stew Bowers 1936 Mike Meola 1936 Babe Dahlgren 1936 Dom Dallessandro 1937 Emerson Dickman 1938-41 Al Flair 1941 Tony Lupien 1942 Vic Johnson 1944 Lou Finney 1944 Jim Wilson 1945 Red Steiner 1945 Roy Partee 1946-47 Ellis Kinder 1948-55 Bob Porterfield 1956 Harry Dorish 1956 Haywood Sullivan 1957, 1959 Bill Jurges 1959-60 (MGR) Carroll Hardy 1960-62 Dick Williams 1963-64 Jim Lonborg 1965-71 Bob Bolin 1970 Rick Miller 1972-77 Tom Burgmeier 1978-81 Bill Buckner 1984 Dave Sax 1985 Kevin Romine 1985-91 Bob Zupcic 1991 Frank Viola 1992-94 Dave Oliver 1995-96 (COACH) Joe Kerrigan 1997-2001 (COACH, MGR) Bob Kipper 2002 (COACH) Lou Collier 2003 Ricky Gutierrez 2004 Edgar Renteria 2005 David Wells 2005-06 Luis Alicea 2007-08 (COACH) George Kottaras 2009 Marco Scutaro 2010 Josh Reddick 2011 Jason Repko 2012 Will Middlebrooks 2013-14 Luis Jimenez 2015 Jeff Bianchi 2015 Deven Marrero 2015-16
  7. I think the bigger issue with the WAR calc there was the additional innings he pitched in 2007. In 2008, he had a little time off due to injury.
  8. DiceK had a career high 2.9 WAR in 2007. I think he was ok those first two years.
  9. http://www.fangraphs.com/statsd.aspx?playerid=271&position=P&type=&gds=2005-04-05&gde=2005-07-16&season= Clement was 10-3 prior to getting hit in the head with a line drive and was on the All Star roster. I don't think many people believe he fell lower than expectations as I don't believe expectations were super high to begin with. Penny and Smoltz were 5th men in the rotation type signings. When they didn't work out, nobody was surprised.
  10. Terrible reading comprehension again. Maybe we should all post in bold? Go back and read the NFL thread again. You will be proven wrong. FACT!
  11. Still don't see me getting anything wrong here. Poster states that he said Sandoval was in the mix in the fall and a lot of posters disagree. FACT! Poster is shown that he never mentioned that Sandoval should be in the mix during the fall. FACT! Poster is in fact shown that an alternate poster was a leading proponent of Sandoval getting playing time. FACT!
  12. There's a difference? Not to me.
  13. If you're dumb enough to believe the "Cheatriots" nonsense, I'm not going to give you the benefit of the doubt elsewhere.
  14. Nope. He used the "Cheatriots" line in the NFL thread and it was god awful. I was just making fun of him for using it in the first place.
  15. Abe Alvarez rocked a nice crooked hat, but that's about it. Bowden was just overhyped and never did anything. Kelly was sent away long before he was a blip on the MLB radar.
  16. It's ok. I understand you don't like to admit when you're wrong. Facts don't matter to Mr Cheatriots.

  18. But saying that you want him traded or "Castillo'd" is not leaving him in the mix?
  19. Stating that you want to either trade or "Castillo" Panda is pretty black and white about your feelings for him on the roster. It's not me reading into anything.
  20. My point is that back in the fall you wanted him nowhere near 3B, so don't pat yourself on the back because "you wanted him at 3B back then and people gave you s*** for it but now want him at 3B too." It's just not true. You didn't want him at 3B.
  21. Posts 21 and 38 of this very thread, FYI.
  22. On the very same day you wanted to "Castillo" Panda or trade him away, I posted the following:
  23. In reference to what to do about Panda on 10/11/16 from this very thread.
  24. You said in reference to the fall: When I just listed Pablo as a possible competitor at 3B for the 2017 season, hardly anyone agreed and many laughed or berated the idea. However, in the fall you spent more time pining for a trade for Frazier and only stated that Pablo should be in the mix at DH, but would rather trade him anywhere else. http://www.talksox.com/forum/threads/17963-Looking-ahead-to-2017
