  1. If you were fine with it, you wouldn't be telling all of us how you have to put him on ignore. Just put him on ignore and stop talking about it.
  2. That post is 10 months old. Please stop reposting and just get over it.
  3. 2013 was just a fluky random occurrence! It had nothing to do with Napoli playing out of his mind in April while Ortiz was injured. It had nothing to do with Buchholz pitching unbelievably for half a season. It had nothing to do with Koji being absolutely dominant for the whole season. It had nothing to do with Victorino playing the best RF since Dewey. It had nothing to do with a resurgent season from Lackey. It had nothing to do with Lester being the ace of the staff. The first few games of the WS seemed to expose Farrell as being slow to react. A few of the games really got away from him. At the end of the day though, they won and he earned all the accolades deserving of it. It was an older team that was unsustainable in the long run. They dumped Lester and Lackey in 2014 and I can't blame Farrell for that year. 2015 was a really young team with no staff ace. I'm not sure I can entirely blame Farrell for that either. To me, 2016 is a bigger indication of how good of a manager Farrell is. If they miss the postseason this year, he should be fired.
  4. Maybe. The best way for a manager to develop is for them to go to a new team (Francona, Torre, Showalter, etc.). It's the same advice I give a lot of accountants. The way to grow is to keep moving and keep learning. If you stick around where you are comfortable, you're more likely to just be comfortable in your bubble. Moving on and getting new experiences is a great way to gain experience.
  5. Managers don't matter unless they are really good or bad? So managers matter then?
  6. The ignore feature is great when you need a break from someone. However, touting that you are using it on someone is just douchey.
  7. But high school kids are telling me he's a cancer!
  8. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/n/nealbl01.shtml I prefer this Blaine.
  9. Not a problem. It's a question that comes up a lot around here and I figured a quick search would help you out!

  11. Bigly.
  12. It works like a dog whistle!
  13. Shaw is now on paternity leave. All you weirdos that give people s*** for going on leave can now stop complaining about the trade as he's not man enough to play for your team.
  14. http://www.houstonchronicle.com/sports/cougars/article/Issues-could-drop-UH-pitcher-Seth-Romero-out-of-11116406.php One especially embarrassing incident occurred early in the season when Romero was captured in a photograph holding a bong while in full uniform. MY MAN!!!! Later that day, UH coach Todd Whitting announced that Romero, the Cougars' designated staff ace, had been removed indefinitely from the weekend rotation for violating the team's travel rules. DON'T CARE... But many close to the UH program believed Romero had turned a corner in preparation for this season. One scout who watched Romero during fall workouts called the hard-throwing lefthander a "model citizen, a model teammate." FUNNY HOW THAT HAPPENS, BUT AT LEAST HE DIDN'T STEAL ANY LAPTOPS.
  15. 75% of the time, the WC teams don't win the WS. WC teams are most likely not going to win the WS. 75% of the time means that it's heavily weighted that a division winner will win the WS.
  16. I agree completely. 2013 was a random, fluky season. I don't celebrate that season at all. The whole time the team was playing in the WS I was just like "LOL this is so random so who cares." The only thing that wasn't random was all the smoke that was enveloping our evil ownership group during the on field celebration. The smell of sulfur is thick in the air whenever Vlad Dracul (JH) leaves his coffin.
  17. Harmony gets way too much s*** around here. I don't think he's always trying to stir the pot. If I had seen that nonsense, I would have posted it too.
  18. If you're not good enough to win the division, you're most likely not good enough to win a WS.
  19. That's good...
  20. And if Devers needs to be moved off position, we certainly have a SS that can slide over to 3B as people have Xander would never last at SS.
  21. The scouts that said that would jump at the chance to trade for Devers. It's a frivolous complaint at this point.
  22. It's "important" but it's not an end all be all. The path to winning the WS is easier if you have a great team. Great teams typically win their divisions.
  23. There is something known as the Wild Card that mitigates the division you are in. In 04, the Sox won the WC and the WS. Teams that aren't good enough to win the WC aren't good enough to win a WS. The toughness of the division is overstated. I'd also assert that the ALE isn't always the toughest division in baseball. Right now, I'd say the NL West is a far tougher division.
