    Leon is a nobody. I believe we got him off waivers. He's replaceable. I agree that Swihart needs a shot. I think this should happen when Pedey comes back, but Swihart isn't catching at all. Maybe he's just horrid defensively?

    I think caring about strikeouts and caring about wins are completely different things. Strikeouts have legitimate value as they prevent the batter from putting a ball in play. Wins, saves and holds are basically meaningless.

    I meant "nondescript" more as solid veterans. The names don't wow you, but they get the job done. Their numbers are basically league average last year and this year.

    They're in 2nd place now. They have a pretty decent lineup and lots of big bats coming through their system (Hernandez, Gurriel, Bichette, Guerrero). Their pitching is pretty nondescript, but their hitting is decent enough. 4th in runs.

    The problem is that FA pitchers are a premium and both would get PAID. If Archer were a FA last offseason, he would be cashing sizable checks this year. Cashner is a bit of a different story because his numbers are boosted by pitching at Petco 50% of the time.

    It's the best place to take in a ballgame in the Bay Area. You can walk up to the ticket booth on gameday and get a really good seat and not have to shell out much money. The concessions are decent and the hometown fans are easy to ignore. I always loved going to that ballpark when the Sox were in town. The park is a shithole, but sometimes shitholes can be enjoyable. It's the dive bar of all MLB stadiums. Back in the day (pre 9/11), you used to be able to bring in a cooler full of booze too.

    Wow. Some traditions have it that if you don't take down the decorations by the 12th day after Christmas, that you have to leave them up all year. I think my neighbor inadvertently did that with his lawn decorations a few years ago.

    Sox are the best team at K/SO ratio (the Sox pitchers strike out more batters than opposing pitchers strike out Sox batters).
